Ogle County Sheriff’s Report: Feb. 25, 2025

OREGON — On Feb. 25 at approximately 1:23 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 1,000 block of East Illinois Route 72.  After investigation deputies placed Ethan Rogers, 55, of Leaf River, under arrest for driving while license revoked. Rogers was additionally issued a citation for operating an uninsured vehicle.  Rogers was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was released on a notice to appear and given a future court date.

On Feb. 25 at approximately 5:35 p.m. deputies initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of Lowden Road and Nashua Road. After further investigation John Strader, 36, of Dixon, was placed under arrest for driving while license revoked and an outstanding Lee County warrant.  Strader was also cited for an equipment violation. Strader was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was released on notice to appear bonds. 

On Feb. 25 at approximately 5:51 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 6,000 block of North Illinois Route 251. After investigation, deputies placed Luis Diaz, 45, of Rockford, under arrest for driving with no valid driver's license. Diaz was additionally issued a citation for operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Diaz was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was released on a notice to appear and given a future court date.

On Feb. 25 at approximately 9:31 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of East Illinois Route 64 and South Chamberlain Road. After investigation deputies placed Anna Reillo, 22, of Cortland, under arrest for driving under the influence-combination of alcohol and drugs. Reillo was additionally issued citations for possession of cannabis-driver, operation of an uninsured motor vehicle, and speeding. Reillo was transported to the Ogle County Jail where she was released on a notice to appear and given a future court date.

On Feb. 25 at approximately 2:26 p.m. deputies were dispatched to 8725 N. Illinois Route 2 in reference to an accident. After an investigation, deputies arrested Cynthia Swanson, 64, of Byron, for driving under the influence of alcohol, having no insurance, and leaving the scene of an accident. Swanson was transported to the Ogle County Jail, where she was processed on her charges and released on a notice to appear court date. Swanson's vehicle was towed from the scene.

All individuals are considered innocent until proven guilty.
