OREGON — On May 6 at approximately 6:28 a.m. deputies initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of Montague Road and Rock City Road. After an investigation Erik E. Peterson, 47, of German Valley, was arrested for driving with a revoked Illinois driver's license. Peterson was also cited for operating a vehicle with no insurance and an equipment violation. Peterson was transported to the Ogle County Jail for processing. Peterson was released on a notice to appear bond.
On May 6 at approximately 10:48 a.m. deputies responded to a single-vehicle accident on U.S. Route 52, near the intersection with Robin Road. An initial investigation determined an eastbound semi-tractor and livestock trailer failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway. The tractor/trailer combination entered the south ditch and overturned. The driver of the semi, Bryan Varney, 60, of Dows, Iowa, received apparent minor injuries and was transported to OSF Saint Katherine Hospital by Polo EMS. Varney was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and improper lane usage. Deputies were assisted at the scene by Polo Fire/EMS and Mt. Morris Fire.
On May 6 at approximately 11:20 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the area of 12221 E. Flagg Road at the entrance to the Rolling Green Estates in reference to a vehicle stuck in the ditch. After investigation, deputies placed Hamza Saadaoui, 40, of Rochelle, under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol. Hamza was additionally issued citations for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and driving under the influence of alcohol with a BAC of .08 or more. Hamza was transported to the Ogle County to Jail where he was released on a notice to appear and given a future court date.
On May 7 at approximately 3:56 a.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of 8th Street and Pines Road in Oregon. After investigation, deputies placed Marcel Bauby, 26, of Dixon under arrest for driving while license suspended. Bauby was released on a notice to appear at the scene and given a future court date.
On May 7 at 2:40 p.m. deputies responded to the 7,000 block of South Lost Nation Road in rural Dixon for the report of a domestic disturbance. After a brief investigation, Clifford Petty, 33, of Dixon, was arrested for domestic battery and criminal damage to property. Petty was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he will be held pending an appearance in front of a judge.
On May 9 at approximately 9:58 a.m. deputies initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of Pines Road and Devils Backbone Road. After further investigation Debbrah Messenger, 45, of Oregon, was placed under arrest for an outstanding Ogle County warrant. A passenger in the vehicle, Jeramiah Martin, 36, of Oregon, was placed under arrest for an outstanding Winnebago County warrant. Both Messenger and Martin were transported to the Ogle County Jail where they were held in lieu of bond.
All individuals are considered innocent until proven guilty.
