OREGON — On Oct. 22 at approximately 2:22 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop at Freeport Road and Illinois Route 64. After an investigation, deputies arrested Zachary Johnson, 48, of Stockton for driving while license suspended and having an active Lee County warrant. Johnson was additionally issued a citation for speeding. Johnson was transported to the Ogle County Jail, where he will remain until he is transported to Lee County. Johnson was given a notice to appear for his citations.
On Oct. 22 at approximately 7:11 p.m. deputies responded to a driving complaint of a vehicle traveling southbound on River Road approaching Oregon. A short time later the vehicle and driver were located in the 200 block of North 3rd Street in Oregon. After investigation, Deputies placed Kristina Richards, 48, of Oregon under arrest for driving while under the influence of alcohol. Richards was additionally issued citations for illegal transportation of alcohol and DUI alcohol concentration in blood or breath .08 or more. Richards was transported to the Ogle County Jail where she was released on a notice to appear and was given a future court date.
On Oct. 23 at approximately 5:44 a.m. deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident in the 300 block of Scott Avenue in Hillcrest. After investigation, it was determined a silver Saturn SUV, being operated by Justin Kaecker, 33 of Rochelle, was traveling westbound when it struck a red RAM pickup truck being operated by Aaron Good, 29 of Rochelle. Kaecker was issued a citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. Neither party were injured.
On Oct. 24 at approximately 7:42 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Illinoos Route 64 and Kent Road. After investigation, deputies placed Jose Ramon Laguna-Jarillo, 38, of Rochelle, under arrest for an active Ogle County failure to appear warrant for no valid driver's license. Laguna-Jarillo was transported to the Ogle County Jail, where he was held in lieu of bond.
On Oct. 24 at 7:58 a.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop on North Meridian Road, just south of North Kishwaukee Road. As a result, deputies arrested Starbrina L. Edwards, 30, of Machesney Park, for driver's license expired greater than one year. Edwards was additionally issued citations for no front registration, suspended registration/no insurance, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Edwards was released on a notice to appear with a future court date.
All individuals are considered innocent until proven guilty.
