Oregon softball team shuts out River Ridge/Scales Mound

The Oregon High School varsity softball team earned a 6-0 shutout win over River Ridge/Scales Mound on Friday, March 21. Isabella Berg pitched three innings and struck out eight batters, while Brooke Halverson and Emma Schlichtmann combined for five strikeouts over five innings of relief. Halverson went 1-for-2 with a home run and one RBI, while Olivia Ortega went 1-for-2 with one double and one run scored. Lola Schwarz went 1-for-3 with a triple and one RBI.

Oregon softball team takes down Pearl City

The Oregon High School varsity softball team took down Pearl City 9-2 on Saturday, March 22. Isabella Berg started in the circle and pitched six innings while striking out 12 batters and allowing only two hits. Ella Dannhorn went 2-for-3 with a home run, one double, three runs and one RBI. Lola Schwarz and Alexi Czochara each finished with one hit and two RBIs.

Polo baseball team falls against Galena

The Polo High School varsity baseball team fell 11-1 against Galena on Monday, March 24. Korbin Cavanaugh went 2-for-2 with two singles, while Dawson Foster walked and scored one run to lead the Marcos in the loss.

Forreston softball team drops game with River Ridge/Scales Mound

The Forreston High School varsity softball team dropped its game with River Ridge/Scales Mound on Monday, March 24. The Cardinals fell 8-4 despite a strong pitching performance from Aubrey Sanders, who threw five and two-thirds innings while striking out 10 batters and allowing just three hits. Sanders also went 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBIs for the Cardinal offense.

Polo softball team loses against Galena

The Polo High School varsity softball team lost 9-1 against Galena on Monday, March 24. Cheyenna Wilkins went 2-for-3 with one run and one double for the Lady Marcos. Wilkins also pitched five innings and struck out seven batters.
