Oregon softball defeats Byron
Oregon defeated Byron 9-4 thanks to three hits by Ella Dannhorn and three RBIs by Gracen Pitts. Starting pitcher Brooke Halverson got the win for the Hawks, going four innings and giving up one run. Alexi Czochara pitched the final three innings for Oregon, tallying five strikeouts. Olivia Paul added two hits for the Hawks, who moved to 14-9 on the season.
Oregon softball loses to Genoa-Kingston
Oregon softball lost a hard fought battle with Genoa-Kingston 8-4. Olivia Paul jacked a solo home run and Madi Shaffer added two hits for Oregon. Abi Fletcher also had a clutch RBI in the game.
Oregon girls soccer cruises over H-BR
The Oregon varsity girls soccer team won 7-1 over Hinckley-Big Rock on Wednesday, May 1. Anna Stender and Mya Engelkes each scored two goals, while Deb Schmid, Kenna Wubbena and Sarah Eckardt each added goals. Engelkes and Wubbena each dished out two assists, while Schmid and Noelle Girton both tallied assists for the Hawks (15-1-0).
Polo baseball shut out against Forreston
The Polo varsity baseball team fell 20-0 against Forreston on Thursday, May 2. Gus Mumford recorded the lone hit for the Marcos in the loss.

Polo won 17-5 in six innings. Polo had 17 hits. Forreston had 10 hits. Sydnei Rahn went 5 for 5 with five singles and 1 RBI. Cheyenna Wilkins had a single and two doubles with two RBIs. Allissa Marschang had two singles and two RBIs. Karlea Frey had two doubles and one RBI. Leah Tobin had two singles and one RBI.
Cheyenna Wilkins pitched 3.1 innings allowing seven hits with four earned runs, one walk and three strikeouts. Camrynn Jones pitched 2.2 innings allowing three hits with 0 earned runs and four strikeouts.
Oregon girls soccer rolls over Rochelle
The Oregon varsity girls soccer team scored an 8-1 win over Rochelle on Saturday, May 4. Deb Schmit totaled three goals and two assists, while Anna Stender dished out three assists with two goals. Sarah Eckardt scored two goals and Kenna Wubbena added one goal, while Aniyah Sarver and Mya Engelkes chipped in assists for the Hawks. Mili Zavala had seven saves for the Hawks (16-1-0).

The Oregon varsity softball team won 13-1 over Hall Township on Saturday, May 4. Oregon tallied 12 hits, getting a multiple hit game from Abree Barker, Gracen Pitts and Brooke Halverson. Ella Dannhorn, Olivia Paul and Pitts had three RBIs each. Brooke Halverson got the win pitching five innings and striking out four.
Polo baseball loses against Warren/Stockton
The Polo varsity baseball team lost 17-4 against Warren/Stockton on Saturday, May 4. Nolan Hahn went 3-for-3 with one RBI to lead the Marcos in the loss.
Polo baseball blows out South Beloit
The Polo varsity baseball team blew away South Beloit for a 15-1 win on Monday, May 6. Nolan Hahn went 4-for-4 with four RBIs, while Gus Mumford went 1-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Jeff Donaldson went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and Carter Merdian went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored for the Marcos. Hahn pitched six innings and struck out 14 batters.
Oregon softball takes high scoring game from Rock Falls
The Oregon varsity softball team won 21-11 against Rock Falls on Monday, May 6. Olivia Paul hammered out four hits, Abree Barker had three hits and Hayleigh Heuerman jacked a home run as Oregon's offense exploded on Rock Falls. Brooke Halverson picked up the win for Oregon in the pitcher's circle and added two hits. Hayleigh Burkhart also had two hits for the Hawks.
