Oregon football team wins regular season finale against Athens

The Oregon High School varsity football team clinched playoff eligibility with a 57-14 win over Athens in Week 9 of the season on Friday, Oct. 25. Cooper Johnson rushed for 89 yards and one touchdown, while Hunter Bartel rushed for 74 yards and two touchdowns in the win. Benny Olade ran for a 1-yard touchdown and completed 3-of-4 passes for 96 yards including a 30-yard touchdown to Josh Crandall. Jakobi Donegan ran for two touchdowns and Avery Lewis added one touchdown run in the victory.

Forreston football team falls against Lena-Winslow

The Forreston High School varsity football team conceded a 58-30 loss against Lena-Winslow on Friday, Oct. 25. Evan Boettner ran for 50 yards and one touchdown, while Jon Milnes led the Cardinals with 124 rushing yards and three touchdowns in the game. Kayden Loomis scored on a 10-yard touchdown pass from Brady Gill.

Polo football team blows out Orangeville

The Polo High School varsity football team moved to 9-0 on the season with a 52-6 win over Orangeville on Friday, Oct. 25. Gus Mumford completed 4-of-9 passes for 80 yards and two touchdowns, both of which went to Damon Rowe. Gus Mumford added 105 rushing yards and two scores on the ground, while Gage Zeigler ran for 89 yards and a touchdown. Mercer Mumford added 54 rushing yards and a touchdown for the Marcos, who saw Gage Zeigler return an interception for a 60-yard touchdown.

Byron football team shuts out Stillman Valley

The Byron High School varsity football team is now 9-0 after earning a 43-0 shutout win over Stillman Valley on Friday, Oct. 25. Caden Considine rushed for 83 yards and two touchdowns, while Brayden Knoll rushed for 77 yards and two touchdowns. Andrew Talbert and Dawson Criddle each added rushing touchdowns for the Tigers in the win.

Oregon volleyball team scores win over Morrison

The Oregon High School varsity volleyball team earned a 29-27, 25-19 win over Morrison on Monday, Oct. 28. Anna Stender finished with 13 assists and 10 digs for a double-double, while Madi Shaffer recorded 15 digs and Skylar Bishop totaled five kills and two digs with one block.

Oregon volleyball team falls against Erie-Prophetstown

The Oregon High School varsity volleyball team’s season ended with a 15-25, 17-25 loss against Erie-Prophetstown on Tuesday, Oct. 29. Grace Tremble recorded six kills and one block, while Anna Stender notched nine assists with five digs. Madi Shaffer added six digs and one ace.
