Oregon volleyball team holds off Stillman Valley
The Oregon High School varsity volleyball team outlasted Stillman Valley for a 26-24, 21-25, 25-23 win on Thursday, Oct. 17. Anna Stender recorded five kills and nine assists, while Emma Eckerd totaled 11 assists and Cassie Krup added five kills. Oregon’s JV team fell 25-8, 25-27, 15-17 and the F/S team lost 11-25, 19-25.
Polo football team blows out West Carroll
The Polo High School varsity football team scored a 52-6 win over West Carroll on Friday, Oct. 18. Gus Mumford completed 3-of-3 passes for 141 yards and two touchdowns while adding eight runs for 65 yards and two touchdowns. Billy Lowry caught two passes for 136 yards and two scores while rushing for 20 yards and one score on three carries. JT Stevenson and Robert Harazin each added touchdown runs for Polo in the win.
Oregon football team falls to Rockford Lutheran
The Oregon High School varsity football team fell 24-0 against Rockford Lutheran on Friday, Oct. 18. Hunter Bartel ran for 56 yards on 13 carries to lead the Hawks in the loss.
Oregon boys soccer teams loses to Marian Central Catholic
The Oregon High School varsity boys soccer team conceded a 2-0 loss to Marian Central Catholic on Saturday, Oct. 19. The Hawks finished the season with an 11-11-2 record.
Forreston football team drops game against DuPec
The Forreston High School varsity football team lost 54-26 against DuPec on Friday, Oct. 18. Evan Boettner ran for 43 yards and one touchdown, while Dane Setterstrom ran for 48 yards and one touchdown. Coehen Kirchner rushed for 44 yards and a touchdown and Kayden Loomis ran for a team-high 73 yards with one touchdown on the ground.
Oregon volleyball team defeats Rock Falls
The Oregon High School varsity volleyball team pulled out a three-set win against Rock Falls, earning a 21-25, 25-19, 25-22 victory on Tuesday, Oct. 22. Madi Shaffer recorded 33 digs, while Anna Stender totaled 28 assists, two blocks and two kills. Makenzie Brown added four blocks and three kills for the Hawks (15-14, 6-3 BNC). Oregon's JV team fell 24-26, 25-22, 11-15 and the F/S team fell 13-25, 25-17, 10-15.
Forreston volleyball team wins over Lena-Winslow
The Forreston High School varsity volleyball team scored a 25-17, 25-23 win over Lena-Winslow on Tuesday, Oct. 22. Jaiden Schneiderman totaled 13 kills, five digs and two aces, while Ennen Ferris dished out 14 assists and Aubrey Sanders recorded seven digs. Hailee Vogt also had seven digs in the match.
