POLO — The Ogle County Republican Party recently donated some of the proceeds from their Spring Draw Down event held at Kennay Farms Distillery to the Lifeline Food & Self Help Project, which provides quality food items to households experiencing food insecurity. The Lifeline Food & Self Help Project supplies critical nutrition to individuals and families in need in Polo and the Polo school district.

Tom Suits, Buffalo 1 Precinct committeeman and Mike Koolidge, chairman of the Ogle County GOP, presented a $500 check to Kathy Wragg, who accepted the check on behalf of the Lifeline Food & Self Help Project located at 113 N. Green St. in Polo.

“The Ogle County Republicans are involved in the community,”  Koolidge said.  “We support organizations like this on a regular basis sharing the funds we raise, as they are a key part of our community and help so many people.”

Organized in 1989, the Ogle County Republican Central Committee exists to help elect good Republicans to public office at the local, state and federal level in Ogle County, Illinois, and the United States.  The organization’s website can be found at https://www.oglecountygop.org/ or on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/OgleCountyRepublicans.

They will hold their annual fundraiser, the “Governor Lowden Day Dinner” on Aug. 21 at the River’s Edge Experience in Oregon, where Pastor Corey Brooks from Project H.O.O.D. will be the keynote speaker.
