August 17
At 5:23 p.m., Oregon Police investigated a two-vehicle traffic crash in the 700 block of S. 1st Street involving a 2011 Chevrolet driven by Zoe E. Prascak, 16, Oregon, and a 2009 Dodge driven by Amanda E. Sedrick, age 28, Rockford. No citations were issued.
August 20
At 3:45 p.m., Oregon Police investigated a two-vehicle traffic crash in the 100 block of S. Daysville Road involving a 2004 Jeep driven by Lucas B. Snyder, 25, and a 2002 Mercury driven by Thomas J. Buzinski, age 26, Oregon. Snyder was issued a citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
August 21
At 1:10 p.m., Oregon Police arrested Alia A. Farraj, 32, of Orland Park, IL, on an outstanding Ogle County warrant for speeding. Farraj was also issued citations for driving while license suspended and operating a vehicle when registration is suspended for non-insurance. Farraj was transported to the Ogle County jail. These violations occurred in the 300 block of E. Washington Street.
August 22
At 3:31 p.m., Oregon Police responded to a physical domestic call in the 400 block of S. 6th Street, resulting in the arrest of Melody D. Stuppy, 18, Oregon, for domestic battery. Stuppy was transported to the Ogle County jail.
August 23
At 5:22 p.m., Oregon Police issued Troy A. Cox, 21, Oregon, citations for violation of classification – no class M motorcycle license and operating an uninsured vehicle. These violations occurred in the 600 block of N. 6th Street.
August 24
At 12:15 p.m., Oregon Police investigated a two-vehicle traffic crash in the 200 block of S. 10th Street in the OHS parking lot involving a 2003 Volkswagon driven by Taylor J. Hultquist, age 17, Mt. Morris, and a 2015 Jeep driven by Lauren A. Thompson, 16, Oregon. No citations were issued.
At 11:23 p.m., Oregon Police was dispatched to assist the Mt. Morris Police Department, resulting in taking one 17-year-old male juvenile of Polo, into limited custody for the offense of resisting an officer. The juvenile was transported to the Ogle County jail where he was released into the care of the Mt. Morris Police Department.
August 25
At 3:30 p.m., Oregon Police investigated a two-vehicle traffic crash in the 200 block of N. 3rd Street where a 2014 Chevrolet driven by Duane A. Deuth, 59, Chana, struck a parked 2019 Chevrolet belonging to EAN Holdings of Lombard, IL. No citations were issued.
At 7:45 p.m., Oregon Police issued Deanna J. Leach, 41, Oregon, a citation for operating an uninsured motor vehicle. This violation occurred in the 100 block of S. Daysville Road.
August 26
At 1:18 a.m., Oregon Police responded to a disturbance call in the 300 block of Franklin Street resulting in the arrest of Tina M. Gordy, 33, Oregon, for domestic battery. Gordy was transported to the Ogle County jail.
At 5:50 p.m., Oregon Police responded to a disturbance call at 204 N. 4th Street, the Oregon Super Value, resulting in the arrest of Skylar D. Scheible, 27, of Stillman Valley, for battery. Scheible was also issued a civil citation for possession of drug paraphernalia. Scheible was transported to the Ogle County jail.
At 10:55 p.m., Oregon Police arrested Julie A. Hensley, 41, Oregon, for driving under the influence of alcohol and driving under the influence of alcohol with blood alcohol content greater than .08%. Hensley was also issued citations for driving without headlights and failure to notify secretary of state of change of address. Hensley was transported to the Ogle County jail. These violations occurred in the alleyway of the 700 block of S. 2nd Street.
10 verbal/written warnings were issued from 8/20/18 through 8/26/18.
