Oregon Police report 1-28-19

At approximately 8:30 p.m., Oregon Police took one 16-year-old male juvenile into limited custody for the offense of battery. The juvenile was released into his parent’s custody with a referral to the State’s Attorney for review for juvenile delinquency.

 

Jan. 15

At noon, Oregon Police investigated a one-car traffic crash in the parking lot of Snyder Pharmacy located at 201 N. 4th Street where a 2003 GMC driven by Gary H. Bolthouse, 62, Oregon, jumped the curb, striking several items that were on the sidewalk. No citations were issued.

At 3:14 p.m., Oregon Police issued three traffic citations for driving in the wrong lane in the 1000 block of North IL Route 2; disobeying a traffic control device at the intersection of Madison and 5th Streets; and operating an uninsured motor vehicle in the 200 block of S. 4th Street; to Michael W. Smith, 28, of Loves Park.

At 8:21 p.m., Oregon Police issued a citation for operating an uninsured motor vehicle in the 800 block of S. 4th Street to Anthony J. Balice, 25, Byron.

At 10:18 p.m., Oregon Police issued two citations for operating an uninsured motor vehicle and no valid driver’s license – curfew in the 100 block of Webster Street to Dominick J. Wetzell, 16, Oregon.

 

Jan. 16

At 3:44 a.m. Oregon Police arrested Keith R. Lawnicki, 27, Oregon, for resisting a peace officer. Lawnicki was transported to the Ogle County jail.

At 12:03 p.m., Oregon Police investigated a traffic crash in the Athletico parking area located behind 116 N. 3rd Street where a 2012 Chrysler driven by Tanya R. Fraley, 44, Oregon, struck a dumpster. No citations were issued.

 

Jan. 17

At 7:47 p.m., Oregon Police issued a citation for disobeying a stop sign to Victor E. Heather, 17, Oregon. This violation occurred at the intersection of 9th and Washington Streets.

 

Jan. 18

At 6:36 p.m., Oregon Police investigated a two-vehicle traffic crash in the Ten Pennies parking lot located at the corner of S. 4th and Madison Streets involving a 2017 Ford driven by Wendy D. Mitchell, age 34, Oregon, and a parked 2016 GMC belonging to Brian A. Peyton, 29, Byron. No citations were issued.

At 7:52 p.m., Oregon Police issued a citation for operating an uninsured motor vehicle in the 200 block of S. 10th Street to Amanda E. Burgett, 33, Leaf River.

At 8:30 p.m., Oregon Police issued citations for operating a vehicle with an expired registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle in the 100 block of S. 4th Street to Jeremy J. Clardi, age 41, Sterling.

At 10:21 p.m., Oregon Police arrested Wayne D. Bjorklund, 56, Oregon, for driving while under the influence of alcohol. Bjorklund was also issued a citation for driving without headlights. Bjorklund was transported to the Ogle County jail. These violations occurred in the 200 block of E. Washington Street.

At 11:23 p.m., Oregon Police issued a civil citation for possession of cannabis less than 10 grams to James P. Kasmar, 26, Ashton. This violation occurred in the 200 block of S. 4th Street.

 

Jan. 19

At 8:16 p.m., Oregon Police issued a citation for disobeying a traffic control device in the 200 block of N. 5th Street to Benjamin P. Crosby, 35, Oregon.

At 8:50 p.m., Oregon Police issued a citation for speeding, 37 mph in a 20 mph zone, in the 200 block of 13th Street to Lewis E. Nicholas, 57, Rockford.

 

Jan. 20

At 2:38 p.m., Oregon Police arrested Sheilah R. Dye, 46, Rockford, for driving while license suspended. Dye was also issued citations for operating a vehicle when registration suspended for mandatory insurance violation and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Dye was transported to the Ogle County jail. These violations occurred in the 600 block of N. 4th Street.

At 3:33 p.m., Oregon Police issued a citation for use of a cell phone while driving in the 100 block of S. 4th Street to Heidi J. McGlown, age 40, Dixon.

At 9 p.m., Oregon Police issued a civil citation for possession of drug paraphernalia in the 200 block of S. IL Route 2, to Marley S. Kessel, 19, Dixon.

 

21 parking tickets and 11 verbal/written warnings were issued from 01/14/19 through 01/20/19.
