Nov. 3

At 11:56 a.m., Oregon Police responded to a two-vehicle traffic crash at the entrance to 91 S. Daysville Road involving a 1998 Ford driven by Victor F. Heather, 17, Oregon, and a 2012 Kia driven by John R. Kisner, 50, Rochelle. Heather was issued citations for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

 

Nov. 6

At 12:40 p.m., Oregon Police responded to the 200 block of N. 4th Street where a 2011 GMC driven by Teri L. Ujcic, 50, Mt. Morris, was struck by a deer. No citations were issued.

Nov. 7

At 10:30 a.m., Oregon Police issued Monique N. Lindell, 38, Oregon, a city citation for violating the nuisance city code of having an inoperable motor vehicle. This violation occurred in the 100 block of N. 7th Street.

At 2:25 p.m., Oregon Police responded to a two-vehicle traffic crash in the Snyder/Ace Hardware parking lot involving a 2008 Chevrolet driven by Scott L. Martin, 65, Oregon, and a 2012 Dodge driven by Linda S. Wright, 67, Oregon. Martin was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. Martin was also issued citations for improper backing and driving under the influence of alcohol with blood alcohol content greater than .08 percent. Martin was transported to the Ogle County jail.At 7:15 p.m., Oregon Police arrested Michelle L. Pickrell, 39, Oregon, on an outstanding Ogle County warrant for failure to appear. Pickrell was transported to the Ogle County jail.

 

Nov. 8

At 1:35 a.m., Oregon Police issued Brennan H. Schofield, 18, Rock Falls, a citation for speeding, 52 mph in a 40 mph zone. This violation occurred in the 100 block of E. Washington.

At 2:43 a.m., Oregon Police responded to a disturbance call in the 500 block of S. 2nd Street resulting in the arrest of Nicholas J. Cadie, 33, Davis Junction, for an outstanding Ogle County warrant for criminal damage to property; John A. Hitchcock, 35, Oregon, on an outstanding Ogle County Warrant for failure to appear; and Joshua D. Tibble, 23, South Beloit, for violation of orders of protection. All three subjects were transported to the Ogle County jail.

 

Nov. 9

At 10 a.m., Oregon Police investigated a two-vehicle traffic crash in the 300 block of W. Washington Street involving a 2015 Jeep driven by Karen J. Churney, 60, Oregon, and a parked 2011 Chevrolet belonging to Connie L. Blake, 69, Mt. Morris. No citations were issued.

Nov. 10:

At noon, Oregon Police issued Shawn M. McGinnis, 23, of Crystal Lake, a citation for speeding, 62 mph in a 35 mph zone. This violation occurred in the 1300 block of Pines Road.

At 7:17 p.m., Oregon Police issued Jessie J. Rolen, 33, Ashton, citations for operating a vehicle with an expired registration, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. These violations occurred in the 100 block of S. 4th Street.

At 8:16 p.m., Oregon Police issued Maley E. Fike, 17, Ashton, a citation for no valid registration. This violation occurred in the 200 block of W. Washington Street.

At 11:32 p.m., Oregon Police issued Skylar D. Scheible, 28, Stillman Valley, an IL State citation for speeding, 48mph in a 30mph zone; and a civil citation for possession of drug paraphernalia. These violations occurred in the 600 block of N. 4th Street.

 

Nov. 11

At 7 p.m., Oregon Police conducted a traffic stop in the 600 block of N. 4th Street, resulting in issuing Wesley A. Morss, 44, Dixon, a citation for speeding, 45mph in a 30mph zone. A passenger in Morss’ vehicle, Gregory L. Crisp, age 50, Dixon, was arrested on an outstanding Ogle County warrant for a driving while license revoked charge. Crisp was transported to the Ogle County jail. Morss was released from the location.

At 10:39 p.m., Oregon Police issued Melody D. Stuppy, 18, Oregon, a citation for failure to yield at a stop or yield intersection. This violation occurred at the intersection of S. 2nd and W. Washington Streets.

 

4 parking tickets and 6 verbal/written warnings were issued from 11/05/18 through 11/11/18.

At 1:48 p.m., Oregon Police issued Gary G. McAdams, 55, of Darien, Wis., a citation for speeding, 49 mph in a 30 mph zone. This violation occurred in the 100 block of N. Daysville Road.

At 6:53 p.m., Oregon Police issued Gage M. Foreman, 17, Rock Falls, a citation for speeding, 49mph in a 30mph zone. This violation occurred in the 600 block of N. 4th Street.

 

Nov. 15

At 12:20 p.m., Oregon Police investigated a two-vehicle traffic crash in the 700 block of Pines Road involving a 2014 Dodge driven by Roger E. Wakenight, 74, Polo, and a 2001 Dodge driven by Michael E. Lewis, age 67, Byron. No citations were issued.

At 8:49 p.m., Oregon Police issued Neil G. Antoine, 75, Mount Morris, a citation for speeding, 40mph in a 30mph zone. This violation occurred in the 100 block of N. 14th Street.

 

Nov. 16

At 10:04 a.m., Oregon Police took one male juvenile, 17, Oregon, into limited custody for the offense of possession of a nicotine product. The juvenile was released into his parent’s custody with a request for diversion being sent to the juvenile probation department.

Nov. 17

At 7:19 p.m., Oregon Police issued David L. Atkinson, 19, Franklin Grove, a citation for improper lane usage – wrong way on a one-way street. This violation occurred in the 1000 block of Jefferson Street.

 

Nov. 18

At 8:19 p.m., Oregon Police issued Mark C. Wolber, Jr., 31, Oregon, a citation for speeding, 53mph in a 30 mph zone. This violation occurred in the 600 block of N. 4th Street.

REMINDER: Sec. 10-50. Parking on street after snowstorm.

  • After a snowfall of one (1) inch or more has accumulated on the public streets the following rules will apply:
    • Vehicles must be parked on the side of the street where the even-numbered building or house would be located between the hours of 7:00 a.m. on that day and 7:00 a.m. of the following day on even calendar days.
    • Vehicles must be parked on that side of the street where the odd-numbered building or house would be located between the hours of 7:00 a.m. on that day and 7:00 a.m. of the following day on odd calendar days.

Any person who violates this subsection shall be fined thirty dollars ($30.00).

  • The police departments, and all members thereof assigned to traffic duty, are hereby authorized to remove and tow away by a towing service, any vehicle that is parked except in conformity with the above schedule. Vehicles so towed for illegal parking shall be restored to the owner or operator of such vehicle after the payment of the original ticket is paid in full, plus all towing, storage, and related costs if such payment is made within forty-eight (48) hours after the vehicle was removed. For any payment made subsequent to the first forty-eight hour period, there shall be paid an additional forty-five dollars ($45.00) for each additional forty-eight hour period. Vehicles not restored to their owners within fifteen (15) days shall be considered abandoned vehicles.
