At 11:30 a.m., Oregon Police issued one 14-year-old male juvenile of Mt. Morris, a city citation for the offense of having tobacco and/or alternative nicotine products. This violation occurred at the Oregon High School located at 210 S. 10th Street.
Sept. 10
At 4:31 p.m., Oregon Police issued Michael V. Pham, 47, Oregon, a citation for speeding, 42 mph in a 30 mph zone. This violation occurred in the 500 block of N. 4th Street.
At 6 p.m., Oregon Police took one 17-year-old male juvenile, Mt. Morris, into limited custody for the offense of criminal damage to property and theft less than $500. The juvenile was released into his parent’s custody with a referral to the State’s Attorney for juvenile delinquency. These violations occurred to the concession stand in Oregon Park West.
Sept. 11
At 12:55 a.m., Oregon Police responded to a disturbance call in the 200 block of Nohe Ave., resulting in the arrest of Richard L. Gallagher, 35, Oregon, for disorderly conduct. Gallagher was also issued civil citations for possession of cannabis less than 10 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia. Gallagher was transported to the Ogle County jail.
At 12:28 p.m., Oregon Police responded to a two-vehicle traffic crash in the 1000 block of Illinois Street where a 2013 Chrysler driven by Wayne E. Bearman, 91, Oregon, struck a 2001 Chevrolet driven by Larry L. Smith, 60, Oregon. Bearman was issued a citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
At 3:42 p.m., Oregon Police took one 14-year-old female juvenile, Stillman Valley, into limited custody for the offenses of criminal damage to property and theft less than $500. The juvenile was released into her parent’s custody with a referral to the State’s Attorney for juvenile delinquency. These violations occurred to the concession stand in Oregon Park West.
At approximately 5:42 p.m., Oregon Police investigated a three-car traffic crash in the 400 block of W. Washington Street involving an unknown person driving a black Subaru that struck a 2018 Toyota driven by Mark Gruszeczka, 58, Oregon, causing Gruszeczka to strike a vehicle driven by Darren K. Lottes, 47, Aurora. No citations were issued. The unknown driver of the offending vehicle left the scene of the crash, anyone having any information please contact the Oregon Police Department at 815-732-2162.
At 9:26 p.m., Oregon Police issued Aron M. Gomer, 19, Sterling, a citation for speeding, 49mph in a 30mph zone. This violation occurred in the 600 block of N. 4th Street.
Sept. 12
At 3:20 a.m., Oregon Police issued a city citation to Robert D. De La Rosa, 28, Oregon, for violating the city ordinance for trailers/trucks/rv’s. This violation occurred in the 500 block of S. 2nd Street.
At 7:20 p.m., Oregon Police took one 13-year-old male juvenile, Rochelle, into limited custody for the offenses of criminal damage to property and theft less than $500. The juvenile was released into his parent’s custody with a referral to the State’s Attorney for juvenile delinquency. These violations occurred to the concession stand in Oregon Park West.
Sept. 13
At 10:50 a.m., Oregon Police responded to a car vs utility pole in the 600 block of S. 7th Street involving a 2013 Chrysler driven by Mary V. Fletcher, 78, Oregon. No citations were issued.
At 12:27 p.m., Oregon Police took one 17-year-old male juvenile, Chana, into limited custody for the offense of unlawful possession of alcohol. The juvenile was released into a parent’s custody with a referral to the State’s Attorney’s Office for review. This violation occurred at the Oregon High School located at 210 S. 10th Street.
At 1:30 p.m., Oregon Police responded to a two-vehicle traffic crash in the 500 block of Hill Street where a 2013 Chrysler driven by Wayne E. Bearman, 91, Oregon, struck a 2003 Lincoln driven by Patrick A. McDowell, 40, Oregon. Bearman was issued a citation for improper backing.
At 4:20 p.m., Oregon Police issued Zigmut Lobak, 55, Chicago, a city citation for possessing intoxicating liquor in the park. This violation occurred at Kiwanis Park, located at 200 S. 2nd Street.
Sept. 14
At 2:53 p.m., Oregon Police issued Dale L. Riley, 75, of Seville, OH, a citation for disobeying a stop sign. This violation occurred at the intersection of 10th and Webster Streets.
At 3:08 p.m., Oregon Police issued Damian R. Jacobson, 19, Oregon, a citation for operating a vehicle with a muffler that is loud, excessive noise, or no muffler. This violation occurred in the 800 block of S. 10th Street.
At 5:42 p.m., Oregon Police issued Darrah M. Bridgeman, 26, Rochelle, a citation for disobeying a traffic control device. This violation occurred at the intersection of Washington and 3rd Street.
