OREGON – The Oregon Woman's Club has donated a selection of books aimed at readers aged 6-10 to the Oregon Public Library in honor of Diane Gorski, who was a member of the club for many years.
She passed away on June 25 of this year. Diane taught at Lincoln Elementary School, St. Charles, for 22 years. She and her late husband moved to Oregon in 2001.
The books, designed for elementary school readers, include Atlas of Adventures by Rachel Williams, illustrated by Luci Letherland; Caterpillar Summer by Gillian McDunn; What is Given From the Heart by Patricia C. McKissack; and The Truth About Butterflies by Maxwell Eaton III. They were chosen after consultation with Oregon Public Library's children's librarian, Debbie Herman.
The books are all in general circulation at the library now.
