OREGON – The Oregon Park District offers a flexible and affordable before and after school program aligned with the O.E.S calendar to provide quality childcare and enrichment for your student.
This program serves students in grades K through 6th.
In the morning program, students may be dropped off by their parents as early at 6:15 a.m. Qualified staff will serve a light snack and engage with the children either in room games/crafts or gym/outdoor games. The staff will walk the students over to O.E.S for school around 7:50 a.m.
In the afternoon program, students walk over directly following dismissal from school to the Blackhawk Center Extended Time room. (Kindergarteners are walked by their teacher) Attendance is taken at the entry door. The students receive a light snack once in the room and staff check their take-home folder for homework. After snack, those students who have homework are given time and assistance to complete their homework. Students without homework are doing a quiet activity during this time. After homework time, students participate in a planned activity led by the staff to align with our daily theme. This ranges from physical games in the gym or outside to crafts in the room. The full group then plays a group game either inside or outside.
We conclude the afternoon session with free time. Parents are welcome to pick up their student anytime in between 3:15-6 p.m.
This program has grown over the past few years and safety and the quality continue to be the strong force behind it.
Fees are paid monthly. You may choose from either a payment structure for 1-3 days a week or 4-5 days a week, monthly. You choose your student's days of attendance monthly. Receive 10% off each additional sibling when you enroll your first child at full price. Monthly payments are due by the 25th of each month beginning in August. Auto payment is available and highly recommended!
