Priscilla (Dorsey) Ludwig, 91, of Lanark, passed away, Tuesday Aug. 31, 2021, in her home surrounded by her loving family. Priscilla was born June 3, 1930, in Freeport, the daughter of Arthur and Elma Dorsey.
Priscilla graduated from Freeport High School in 1948. She then earned her registered Nursing Degree from Deaconess Hospital in 1951. She married LeRoy Ludwig of Forreston Sept. 30, 1951. Mr. Ludwig passed away May 1, 2003. Together they lived on their family farm in Lanark. Priscilla went from a city girl to a farmer’s wife, and she loved it! Priscilla cherished the time she spent with her family, especially creating memories with her children and grandchildren. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered. Priscilla loved everyone but her greatest love was Jesus. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at an early age. She lived her faith all these years. She was a very active member of Forreston Reformed Church.
Surviving is her three sons, James Ludwig of Lanark, Duane (Valerie) Ludwig of Shannon, and Thomas (Penny) Ludwig of Lanark; daughter, Lucinda (Larry) Tigges of Lanark; grandchildren, Karlee Ludwig, Adam (Katie) Ludwig, Lance (Carrie) Ludwig, and Dustin (Katie) Ludwig, Tara (Michael) Christians, Tyler (Kristen) Tigges, and Tate Tigges, and Whitney Holmes and Andrew (Hannah) Ludwig. Also surviving are 12 great-grandchildren.
Priscilla was preceded in death by her parents, husband, granddaughter, Heidi Ludwig; daughter-in-law, Linda Ludwig; and three brothers, Larry, Howard, and Russell Dorsey.

Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 3, 2021, at Forreston Reformed Church. Pastor Lyle Zumdahl officiated. Visitation was from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, 2021, also at Forreston Reformed Church. Burial in Lanark Cemetery.A memorial has been established in Priscilla’s memory.
