ROCHELLE — Did you know more than one in three adults have prediabetes?  Prediabetes significantly raises the risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes and other health concerns. Making small lifestyle changes during this stage has been shown to reduce your risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes by up to 50%.

RCH Registered Dieticians, Janelle Stein and Luis Cano are offering a series of classes called Lifestyle Balance, targeting those with prediabetes. These classes have been modified from the original year-long CDC led National Prediabetes Prevention Program and condensed into 12 weeks.

“Our goal is to provide you with useful tools to help you make healthy lifestyle changes in order to prevent or delay Type 2 Diabetes” Stein and Cano said.

Classes will be held every Monday from 1-2:30 p.m. starting March 3 and ending May 19 at Rochelle Community Hospital in the Multi-Specialty Clinic Conference Room. Take charge of your health and join us every Monday for 12 weeks. Please call 815-561-0009 to register for this free program. Registrations for these classes are open to the public.
