OREGON – The Oregon Park District is offering a fun, new camp for kids ages 8-12 years old.

Camp is geared towards those who want to explore improvisation while learning to play more interactive games in a fun structured setting.

The camp will be run by Mrs. Davis and Mrs. Crosby, Directors of the annual Oregon Park District/Elementary School Fall Musical and will run Monday-Thursdays for two weeks, July 13 through July 23 from 9 a.m.-noon.

Improv camp teaches the building blocks of improv and theatre while enjoying the outdoors and social distancing at the bandshell at Oregon Park West. The games and exercises are mostly guided play that help develop teamwork and self-esteem.

These are all designed to be fun with no pressure to perform placed upon the children. Child will come up with their own choregraphed skit(s) to perform at the conclusion of the two weeks. The performance, for parents, will be held at the conclusion of camp.

Camp is $40/Resident and $48/Non-Resident. Camp fee also includes a camp shirt. Deadline to register is July 6. Register online today at oregonpark.org or call 815-732-3101.
