Sheila A. Norup

BYRON – Sheila A. Norup, age 67, passed away surrounded by her family on April 6, 2020 at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford. She was born on June 25, 1952 in Momence, Ill., the daughter of Robert and Lorraine (Gosley) George.

Shelia married Stephen Norup on Jan. 14, 1994. She worked as a realtor for Berkshire Hathaway Home Services. She was passionate about her work and loved staging and organizing homes. She was a proud grandmother and enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s events. She always liked to keep busy but in her spare time, she liked camping with her husband and spending time with her little dogs.

She is survived by her husband, Steve of Byron; daughters, Sherry (Drew) Cerasani of Rockford, Laura (Mario) Zapata of Loves Park, Samantha Norup of Byron, and Brandy (Matt) Foltz of New Milford; siblings, Ken (Pat) George of New Lenox, Sharon (Rich) Yucius of Plainfield, and Mary (John) Ward of Alabama, and Patricia George of Illinois; grandchildren, Kaylee (Jake) Bianchi, Krista Cerasani, Kamille Cerasani, Isabella Zapata, Drew Zapata, Alexa Zapata, Gabriella Zapata, Justin Foltz, Aliyah Foltz, and one grandchild on the way; numerous nieces and nephews, and special friends Sally Harrolle of Byron and Margie Bergmark of Wisconsin.

She is preceded in death by her parents. 

A memorial gathering will be held at a later date to celebrate Sheila’s life. Memorial cards may be sent to the Norup family, P.O.
