BLOOMINGTON — Five Oregon High School track and field athletes earned medals during the 2025 Illinois Top Times Indoor State Championship at the Shirk Center in Bloomington on March 28 and 29.
Daniel Gonzalez medaled in sixth in the Class 1A 800-meter run with a time of 2:03.19. Oregon’s Class 1A 800-meter relay team of Grace Tremble, Miranda Ciesiel, Gabriele Hoyle and Skylar Bishop medaled in sixth with a time of 1:51.08.
Additionally, Byron High School track and field standout Sam Gentz medaled in seventh place in the Class 2A shot put competition with a throw of 15.32 meters. Stillman Valley’s Saundra Broderson medaled in sixth place in the Class 2A high jump competition with a clearance of 1.52 meters.
