STERLING – Becky K. Merritt, 61, of Sterling and formerly of Oregon, died Monday, Feb. 3, 2020 in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center, Rockford. Born Nov. 30, 1958 in Oregon, the daughter of Roger and Judith (Gigous) Steffa.
Becky was a 1976 graduate of Oregon High School and had been employed as a CNA at Sterling area nursing homes.
Survived by her mother, Judi Fore of Oregon; daughter, Shelly Merritt of Rockford; sons, Justin Merritt, Bradley Merritt and Clayton Merritt of Elkhorn, Wis.; grandchildren: Paige, Aubrey, Miranda, Gustavo, Carlos and Rosa; and sisters, Teresa (Eric) Grover of Chana and Donna (Doug) Harriett of Oregon.
Preceded in death by her father.
No services are scheduled at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, Oregon assisted the family with arrangements.
