Cynthia “Cindy” Sue Book

BYRON – Cynthia “Cindy” Sue Book, 69, formerly known of Byron, entered into eternal life on Friday, Nov. 1, 2019 at Javon Bea Hospital with her family by her side. She was the eldest child of the late Bruce E. and LaVonne V. (Martin) Kielsmeier. She was born on June 4, 1950 in Oregon, and graduated from Leaf River High School in 1969.

Cynthia went on to serve the local communities with her parent’s business the “Patty Wagon” for many years. Additionally, she worked as a CNA for several years and continued her education graduating in 1998 with her LPN degree. She loved spending her time with family and friends canning, quilting, and supporting all her grandchildren at their events.

Cynthia leaves her loving legacy to be cherished by her three children: Mathew Book of Doniphan Mo., Jonathan (Rhonda) Book of Byron and Rebecca (Mike) Ruter of M ount Morris. She is cherished, but not forgotten by her beloved Grandchildren, Eric Book, Matalin Book, Brittney Book, Rachel Book, Micheal Ruter, Kyle Ruter, Abigail Ruter, Elizabeth Ruter, and two great grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her siblings: Catherine (Tim) Greenfield, Bev (Mike) Campbell, Betty Miller, Marty Kielsmeier, and Joe (Dawn) Kielsmeier. Equally missed by multiple nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and many friends. As well as her loving companion and friend of 26 years Hermann Vogt.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother in-law Richard Miller, great nephew Gregory Wood, aunts, and uncles.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. in Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt, Mt. Morris. Burial was in North Grove Evangelical Cemetery, Leaf River. Visitation was Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019 from 5-7 p.m. in Finch Funeral Home, 405 East Hitt, Mt. Morris.
