OREGON – Dorothy F. "Dot" Foy, 87, longtime Oregon resident, died Friday, June 29, 2018 in Generations at Neighbors, Byron. Born Aug. 31, 1930 in Chicago, the daughter of John and Angeline (Kenar) Szurgot.

Married to Leo R. "Bob" Foy April 24, 1951 in Chicago; he died June 4, 1995. She worked at many Oregon area businesses including Jenkins' Dry Cleaning and lastly McDonald's. Dot was a very social person, loved people of all ages, dreamed of winning the lottery, and LOVED Elvis. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Oregon and a onetime member of Blackhawk Twirlers.

Survived by her daughters: Christine (Jeff) Henderson of Byron, Deborah (Gene) Ashton of Mount Morris and Cheryl (Douglas) Young of Hebron; 10 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.

Also predeceased by her parents, two sisters and a brother.

A Memorial Funeral Mass was held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 7 in St. Mary Catholic Church, Oregon. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Oregon. No visitation. Farrell- Holland-Gale Funeral Home, Oregon, assisted the family with arrangements.
