DAVIS JUNCTION – Jerald Norman Boyd, age 82, died Tuesday, June 1, 2021 in Cape Girardeau, Mo. He was born Feb. 9, 1939 in Clifton, Tenn., the son to Alvin Wayne and Monetta (Hill) Boyd.

He married Linda E. Peridore on July 2, 1962 in Kennett, Mo., Jerald served his country in the U.S. Army. Jerald retired from Chrysler Corporation after 30 years as the Senior Repairman. He was also the Treasurer and President Elect of the Eagles Club in Poplar Bluff, Mo. Jerald loved to travel and while in the U.S. Army he was stationed in Germany and traveled around Europe. Later in life he would visit and photograph people and places in almost every U.S. State. In retirement Jerald would attend Eagle's Club conventions all over the country, proudly representing his local club. 

He was predeceased by his father Alvin Wayne Boyd, mother Monetta Hill Boyd, his wife Linda Ellen Boyd, brothers Joe Wayne Boyd and Keith Stacy, sisters Janice E. Millikan, Jerre Nell Grogan, and Ramona Stacy, and close family friend Frances J Powell.

He is survived by his daughter Donna Kay Boyd Oostema, son Jerald Wayne Boyd, granddaughter Emily Morgan Boyd, brother James A Stacy. and many nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as his Honorary Brothers and Sisters at the Eagles Club.

Funeral service was held 11 a.m., Saturday, June 12, 2021 at the Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, 136 W. Roosevelt Road in Stillman Valley, with the Rev. Chris Brauns pastor of the Red Brick Church in Stillman Valley officiating. Visitation prior to the service from 10-11 a.m.  Burial at the Monroe Center Cemetery.
