OREGON – Ronald G. Bader, 81, of Oregon, transitioned into eternal life with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 5, 2018.

He was the beloved husband of Connie (nee Gonzales) for 58 years and dear father to Cindy (Jeff) Brey, Ron (Stacy) Bader, Jennifer Bader and Lisa Marie Bader. Ron was blessed with 7 grandchildren: Stephanie (Ryan) Ehlerding, Andrew, Daniel, and Timothy Brey; and Shannon, Benjamin, and Justine Bader. Ron is further survived by his brother Arthur (Carol) Bader and sister, Evelyn Bader, nieces, nephews, relatives and numerous friends. 

Ron was born Oct. 30, 1936 to Arthur and Dorothy (nee Hill) Bader of Chicago. He graduated from Harper High School in 1955, and he and Connie were married in 1960. They settled on a small farm in Oregon, where they raised their 4 children and lived for the past 43 years. Ron retired from a lengthy career with Tower Oil & Technology as a lubrication engineer. Inventive and resourceful, Ron could fix most anything and build whatever he needed. He was an avid sailor and enjoyed camping, family trips, painting, and living a life of service. He was a former Lion’s Club member and an active member of Ebenezer Reformed Church in Oregon, where he was a deacon and elder, taught Sunday School, and participated in numerous mission trips throughout North America. In his later years, Ron wintered in Naples, Fla., with Connie and joined Marco Island Presbyterian Church as an associate member, where he became a Stephen Minister. He will be missed by many for his sense of humor, kindness, helping hands, love of others, and his love for Jesus. 

He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Dorothy Bader and in-laws Rueben and Carmelita Gonzales. Visitation was held on Friday, May 11 from 5-7 p.m. at Ebenezer Reformed Church. The funeral service was held on Saturday, May 12 at 11 a.m. with a brief visitation from 10-11:00 a.m. Interment followed at Ebenezer Cemetery.
