Rosalie Ann Otten, age 52, passed into the hands of God Thursday, Aug. 16, 2018. Rosie was born Sept. 18, 1965 to Donald and Margaret (Patterson)Cronk. She was married to Donny Otten of Oregon in February 1988. They had three children, Amy Otten (Tom Grace) of Oregon, Tony(Pati Blain) of Forsythe, Mo., and Tiffany(Evan)Sackett of Yigo, Guam. Rose was also the very proud grandma of Abbi-Dale and Elijah Grace of Oregon. She loved spending time with them.
She worked as a CNA at various nursing homes throughout her adult life. She loved working with seniors and taking care of them and making them feel special. She loved all animals and children. Anyone that knew Rosie loved her.
She is survived by her children and grandchildren, parents Maggie and Warren Smith of Byron, sister Linda (James)Auth of Oregon, step-sister Jennifer Smith of Rapid City, Ohio, and step-brother Stephen Smith of Deshler, Ohio. Numerous Aunts and Uncles, Cousins and many friends.
She is pre-deceased by her father, Donald Cronk of Franklin Grove, sister Angela Boss of Rockford, grandparents James and Helen Cronk of Wis., Virgil and Lois Patterson of Oregon, and cousin Roger Patterson Jr. of Oregon.
Cremation rites have been accorded per Rosie’s wishes. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, Sept. 15, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at the VFW in Oregon. Friends and family are welcome to come share their stories and remembrances.
