Steven "Steve" Hoffman, 69, of Franklin Grove, passed away Monday, June 15, 2020, at home. Steve worked tirelessly for his family. He worked as a tree trimmer for many years prior to his retirement. Upon retirement, he found joy in caring for his grandchildren and completing projects for others.
Steve was born Aug. 23, 1950, in Dixon. He married Rhonda Jasper on Nov. 8, 1974, in Franklin Grove. He enjoyed fishing and lending a helping hand to anyone in need. Steve loved his family and cherished spending time with them.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years Rhonda, two daughters and their spouses, April and Mark Glosser of Rochelle, Heather and Jim Tinsman of Ashton; five grandchildren, Garrett and Macenzie Glosser, Luke, Adeline, and Jack Tinsman; parents, Donald and Shirley Hoffman of Oregon; four siblings, Stan (Connie) Hoffman of Dixon, Donald (Traci) Hoffman Jr. of Georgia, Donna (Harvey) Briggs of Mt. Morris, Diane Burd of Wisconsin.
Steve was preceded in death by his step-father, Don Jacobs and brother, David Hoffman.
There will be no services. Cremation Rites have been accorded.
Memorials may be directed to Serenity Hospice and Home in Oregon or Franklin Grove Fire Department in Franklin Grove.
