STILLMAN VALLEY – Thomas E. Hufford, age 85, died Saturday, Nov. 14, 2020 at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford following a sudden illness. He was born Sept. 3, 1935 in Dixon, the son of Howard and Mae (Mueller) Hufford. 

He graduated from Dixon High School in 1954. Tom served his country in the U.S. Army from 1958 – 1964. He married Paula Pentz on February 10, 1962 in Dixon. He worked as the Maintenance foreman at the Stillman Valley National Bank for over 20 years.  He also was a real estate broker. Tom was an expert carpenter who loved to do woodworking.  He also loved to go fishing on the rock river. Tom was a member of the Red Brick Church in Stillman Valley. He was predeceased by his parents and brother Wayne Hufford. 

He is survived by his wife Paula Hufford of Stillman Valley, 2 daughters; Lisa Lamb of Oregon, and Sara (Robert) Lazzerini of Belvidere, 2 sisters; Phyllis (Bob) Harbarger of Illinois and Janice McGhee of Texas, 3 grandchildren; Nicholas (Ashleigh) Lamb, Anthony Lazzerini, and Giovanna Lazzerini, 1 great grandchild Kade Lamb. 

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private funeral service will be held at the Red Brick Church in Stillman Valley, with the Associate pastor David Bogner officiating. A walk-through visitation was held on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2020 at the Red Brick Church, 207 Roosevelt Road in Stillman Valley from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Please wear a mask and practice social distancing while continuing to walk forward.
