OREGON – Vera Jean (Nutt) Noffsinger, age 86, died Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at her home in Oregon. She was born Dec. 20, 1930 near Leaf River, the daughter of Henry E. and Marian N. (Beard) Nutt.
She graduated from Forreston High School in 1948. Vera married Charles E. Noffsinger on March 18, 1956 in Forreston. He preceded her in death in 1997. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Oregon where she taught Sunday School for 29 years to the 2 and 3 year old children. She loved to crochet and do scrap booking.
She was predeceased by her parents, husband Charles, and infant sister Doris Belle Nutt.
She is survived by her Sister Nancy Nutt of Oregon, Sister-in-law Dorothy Grover of Ashton, brother’s-in-law; Frank (Geraldine) Noffsinger of Byron, John (Wava) Nickerson of Morningview, Ky., and Earl Noffsinger of Riverside, Calif., and several cousins.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Monday, July 3, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Oregon with the Rev. Jered Cochran pastor of the church officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service at the church from 9-10 a.m. Burial will be at the West Branch Cemetery. A memorial fund is established for the First Baptist Church in Oregon.
