Adult workshops this fall

OREGON – The Oregon Park District, Merlin’s Greenhouse & Flowers and Cork & Tap have been pooling their resources and working together to offer fun workshops for adults.

The workshops are a perfect night out. The Park District is offering two classes that are sure to fill fast due to the popularity of these joint endeavors. Participants can get out for an evening, sip on their favorite beverage from Cork & Tap and enjoy a hands-on craft class/workshop instructed by the talented staff at Merlin’s Greenhouse.

Learn to make decorative Bows on Wednesday, Oct. 16. Choose your ribbon and make a fall bow which will be attached to some Indian Corn for a great fall door swag.  Then create a holiday bow and attach to a pine swag.  Tips and Tricks to bow making will be shared and participants will leave with two great pieces of décor. Choose between 6-7 p.m. class or the later 7:30-8:30 p.m. class option. Fee is $32/Resident or $38/Non-Resident. Registration deadline is Oct. 8.

Design a beautiful fresh arrangement to have four your table the week of Thanksgiving.  Participants will learn techniques for designing arrangements and will be creating their very own floral centerpiece inside a real pumpkin! This workshop will be on Thursday, Nov. 21 with again two classes to choose from: 6:00-7:00 p.m. or 7:30-8:30 p.m.  Class fee is $38/Resident or $45/Non-Resident. Registration deadline is Nov. 13.
