Jodi Beach comes to Jamboree

Posted

MOUNT MORRIS – The Mount Morris Jamboree announces the debut performance of the Jodi Beach Quartet on July 12 starting at 7 pm.

Beach has performed on our band shell stage as a featured soloist with the Kable Concert Band in the recent past, but this will be the first time she performs with her band for a free, two hour show.

Beach is more than a singer and pianist. She is a storyteller, a theme weaver, a scrapbook of our lives presented in song. Her performances invite the audience on a sentimental journey of melodies and lyrics that will leave them smiling and bring a tear to their eyes.

“Timeless” best describes an evening with Jodi Beach. Music that is as alive today as it was when first created, enjoyed by audiences young and old, all who have been touched by these essential elements of life. Though Beach can bang out notes with the best of them she has never been one to “trade solos and go home.” She can always be heard playing well thought out and rehearsed arrangements that pull at your heartstrings one minute, have you dancing the next, and always treat you to the thing she loves to do the most – sing.

The Let Freedom Ring Committee will be serving hot dogs, hamburgers, brats, chips, drinks and desserts starting at 6 p.m., with all proceeds going to next year's event.

The Fine Art Show at the Encore Art Gallery next door on the first floor of Old Sandstone featuring works from many local Artists on the theme 'The Road Not Taken' continues, open from 6-9 p.m.

Be sure to come uptown early to visit the Mount Morris Community Farmers Market, open from 4-7 p.m. every Friday through October, located at the corner of Rt.64 and Wesley Ave. Please bring a blanket or chair, or enjoy the new benches and join the fun on our beautiful, historic campus in the center of Mount Morris, two blocks south of Rt. 64 on Wesley Ave and enjoy a free live show of timeless Jazz.

In the event of rain, the whole show moves to the Moose Lodge at 101 Moose Drive, at the same times.
