OREGON – If you would like to learn to make fresh and tasty salsa, sign up now for the Oregon Park District cooking workshops being offered at Hector’s Cocina.
In July you can learn to make both Salsa Verde (Green Salsa with Tomatillos) and Rojo Salsa (Red Salsa using tomatoes). Salsa Verde classes are offered on Wednesday, July 7 (5:30 or 6:45 p.m. classes). Registration Deadline is June 30. Rojo Salsa classes are offered on Wednesday, July 21 (5:30 or 6:45 p.m.). Registration Deadline is July 14. Classes are held at Conover Square (next door to Hector’s Cocina) and the class fee is $13/Resident or $16/Non-Resident.
All food supplies are included in the class fee, but participants will be asked to bring a few utensils and cooking supplies to include a Molcajete (stone mortar and pestle took for grinding ingredients).
