DAVIS JUNCTION – Mary L. (Batt) Jensen was born on Dec. 9, 1938 to Lawrence Alton and Hazel Mae Batt (Strohman) in Ayrshire, Iowa, and she was married to Dennis Jensen at the time of her death on Sept. 23, 2018 at Seville Care Center in Salem, Mo.
Surviving her at home is her husband Dennis, and her dog Gee Gee. Also, surviving her are four sons: David (Vicki) Hahn, Donald (Cindy) Hahn, William "Bill" (Robin) Hahn, and Friends "Rusty" Burwell IV; one daughter LaVonne (Richard) Folgate; a daughter-in-law Freddie Jean ("Red's" wife); a stepson Dennis (Karen) Jensen Jr.; two stepdaughters Debra (Dale) Roderick, Lisa (Chris) Abbott; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Previously married to Douglas C. Hahn, Friends S. Burwell III until divorcing.
Mary retired from Daimler-Chrysler Corporation in Belvidere after 30 plus years of employment, and was a lifelong chef and caterer, also working at Track Inn (Davis Junction), and T-Bone Willy's (Rockford).
Preceding her in death are a son, Charles "Red" Hahn on March 21, 2018, infant daughter LaDonna Jean in Nov. 1960, her parents (Lawrence and Hazel), five brothers (Donald, Steve, Roger, Justin, Robert), and two sisters (Ada Smith and Carolyn Deyo).
A Memorial Service for Mary will be held November 4, 2018 from 1-4 p.m. at Davis Junction Fire Department, 106 N. Maple St. in Davis Junction. Lunch will be served.
