Jan. 22
At 10:54 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies, along with Rochelle Police Department were dispatched to Rt. 251 at Twombly Rd. for a Hit and Run accident. After an investigation, it was determined that Anselmo Carranza-Sanchez, 22 of Rockford was driving southbound in the northbound lane on Rt. 251 just north of Twombly Rd. Anselmo struck a vehicle while in the other lane, and continued southbound. Anselmo was located driving southbound on 7th St. in Rochelle, and was arrested for Driving on a Revoked license, Driving under the influence of alcohol, aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of a crash, and other traffic citations. Anselmo was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond. No injuries were reported in the crash.
At approximately 11:22 a.m. Ogle County Deputies performed a traffic stop in the 1,000 block of S. IL Rte. 26. After investigation, Deputies issued Charles Alba, 34 of Forreston citations for Driving While License Suspended, No Valid Registration, and Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle. Alba was released on an I-bond to appear in court at a later date. Also arrested was the passenger Caitlynn Johnson, 24 of Forreston for a Lee County Contempt of Court Warrant. Johnson was transported to the Ogle County jail.
At 7:10 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to a check welfare in the 11000 block of E. Rt. 72 for a vehicle parked on the side of the road with a women walking in the area. After an investigation, Susan Buntjer, 50 of Oregon was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Buntjer was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.
Jan. 21
Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies arrested Nancy Lopez, 48 of Rockford, for Driving While License Suspended. Lopez was arrested by Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies on I39 near Rochelle after being stopped for speeding. Lopez was released on an I bond and will appear in court at a later date.
Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies arrested Shayvonne Lewis, 27 of Rockford, for Driving With No Valid License. Lewis was arrested by Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies on Hwy 251 near Edson Rd after being stopped for a lane violation. Lewis was released on an I bond and will appear in court at a later date.
Jan. 19
Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Javier Salinas, 41, of Beloit, Wis., at the Ogle County courthouse. Salinas was arrested on an outstanding warrant for Driving While License Suspended. He was unable to post 10% of the $3,000.00 bond and will appear in court on 1/19/21 at 1 p.m.
Jan. 17
At approximately 11:27 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a single vehicle rollover accident in the 7000 block of East IL Rte 38. Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies learned that a 2017 Subaru driven by Savannah Siron, 20 of Dixon, was traveling westbound on IL Rte 38 when she lost control and entered the north ditch and overturned. Siron receivd minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital by Ashton Ambulance. Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies were assisted on scene by Ashton Fire and Ambulance.
At approximately 12:58 a.m., Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 100 block of N. Walnut St in Stillman Valley in reference to a disturbance. After investigation, Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Danielle M. Miller, 28 of Stillman Valley, for Aggravated Domestic Battery. Miller was transported to the Ogle County Jail where she was held with no bond.
Jan. 16
Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Evan Keeton, 18 of Rockford, for Driving While Unlicensed. Keeton was arrested by Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies on I-39 near Monroe Center after being stopped for Speeding. Keeton was released on a I-bond and will appear in court at a later date.
Jan. 15
At approximately 7:46 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a traffic stop at the 4500 block of S. Lowell Park Road. Upon further investigation, Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Christina Galvan, 29 of Sterling, for Possession of a Controlled Substance (Heroin) and Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe. Galvan was transported to the Ogle County Jail where she was released to the Correctional Deputies
Jan. 9
At 3:40 p.m. Deputies conducted a traffic stop on I88 at mile marker 78 east bound. After a short investigation deputies arrested Christopher Hayes, 19 of Bettendorf, Iowa for driving while license suspended. Hayes was released on scene and will appear in court at a later date. His passenger Jakob Burke, 19 of Bettendorf, Iowa was cited for possession of cannabis.
At 4:50 p.m. Deputies conducted a traffic stop on I88 mile marker 78 east bound. After a short investigation Deputies arrested Anietra Johnson ,24 of Chicago for Driving While License suspended. Johnson was released on scene and will appear in court at a later date.
At 7:13 p.m. Deputies conducted a traffic stop at 5th and 10th in Rochelle. After a short investigation Deputies arrested Laurrel Hayes, 52 of Rochelle for DUI. Hayes was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.
Jan. 8
At 10:05 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Rte. 251 / Rte.64 for a traffic violation. After an investigation, Jose Rocha Maldonado, 26 of Rockford was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Jose was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.
Jan. 7
At approximately 11:08 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a traffic stop at N. IL Rte 2 and Kathryn Road. After investigation, Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Shane M. Muncy, 47 of Tampico, for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Cannabis Driver (Improper Container). Muncy was also cited for Speeding, Operating Uninsured Motor Vehicle, and Equipment Violation. Muncy was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held with no bond.
