March 17
Brandon Cole, 36 of Monroe Center, was arrested on an outstanding Ogle County warrant for Failure to Appear. Cole was unable to post the $1,591.25 full cash bond and will appear in court on 03/18/20 at 1 p.m.
March 14
At approximately 11:50 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a car in the ditch at the intersection of IL Rte 2 and Kennedy Hill Rd. After a brief investigation, Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies arrested 19 year old Tanner Iglima of Winnebago, for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Possession of Alcohol by a Minor. Tanner was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.
At 9:50 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of Penn Corner Rd and Butternut Rd, for a traffic lane violation. After a brief investigation, Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies arrested 27 year old Jacob Bieber of Byron, for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Jacob was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.
March 13
At 4:01 a.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies along with Byron Fire/EMS were dispatched to Illinois Rte. 72 at Illinois Rte. 2 for a two-vehicle accident. After an investigation, it was determined that a Ford Explorer driven by Greg Ridens, 49 of Leaf River, failed to reduce speed to prevent an Accident. Ridens pulled on to Rte. 2 from the stop sign on Rte. 72, causing a Jeep Cherokee driven by Dorothy Bowers, 70 of Byron, to strike the front driver's side of the Explorer. Bowers was transported to Swedish American Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Ridens was issued a citation for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident.
The following people were arrested for Ogle County Outstanding Warrants:
Jean A. Bennett, 46, of Rockford for Failure to Appear. Bennett had a bond of $2,230 and was given a reduction bond at court. Bennett was given a $1,000 recog.
Milo H. Gibson, 30, of Chicago for Failure to Appear, and Suspended Driver’s License. Gibson has a bond of $581 and $5,000/10 percent. Gibson will go to court on 03/16/20 at 1 p.m.
March 12
At approximately 4:30 p.m. Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a one vehicle accident with an injury in the 4,000 block of S. IL Rte. 2. Upon arrival, Deputies learned a Chevy passenger car driven by Austin White M., 21 of Madison, Wisconsin had crashed. White M. was traveling southbound in the 4,000 block of S. IL Rte. 2 when he failed to negotiate a curve before traveling off of the west side of the roadway and striking a light pole and a rock wall. White M. was transported to KSB Hospital by Oregon EMS/Fire for non-life threatening injuries. White M. was issued citations for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident and Operating an Uninsured Vehicle.
At about 2:50 p.m., Deputies responded to Nashua and Scout road for a report of a possible intoxicated male. After a short investigation Deputies arrested Jacob D. Duke, 20 of Oregon, for DUI drugs, DUI alcohol, and Improper Cannabis Container. Duke was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond. Deputies were assisted on scene by Oregon Fire.
At 9:28 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the intersection of Rock City Rd. at Montague Rd. for a vehicle in the ditch. After a short investigation, Michael D. Rummel, 40 of Baileyville, was arrested Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Rummel was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.
March 11
Douglas Johnson, 50 of Rockford, was arrested on an outstanding Ogle County warrant for Driving While License Revoked. Johnson was unable to post the $3,000/10 percent bond and will appear in court on 03/12/20 at 1:00 p.m.
At approximately 3:57 PM Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of IL Rte. 2 and Ashelford Drive. After investigation Deputies placed Jason Dziudzek, 33 of Rock Falls under arrest for Driving While License Revoked, Possession of Hypodermic Needles, two FTA Lee County Warrants, and a FTA Rockford PD warrant. Dziudzek was also issued citations for Improper Lane Usage and Operating an Uninsured Vehicle. Dziudzek was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
At 12:52 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies stopped a black Hyundai in the 4000 block W. Montague Road for Speeding. After a further investigation, the driver, Ronald A. Mayry Jr, 36 of Freeport, was arrested for No Valid Driver's License, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of a Hypodermic Needle. Mayry was taken into custody, transported to the Ogle County Jail without incident, and held in lieu of bond. Mayry will appear in court on 3/12/2020 at 1 p.m.
At approximately 3 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies conducted a traffic stop at Route 251 and Eddy Road. After an investigation, Deputies arrested James Friendman, 41 of Rockford for Driving While License Revoked. Friendman was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he is being in held of lieu bond.
