April 5

At approximately 11:15 p.m., Ogle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop at IL Rte 2 and IL Rte 72.  After a brief investigation, Deputies arrested Peggy L. Anderson, 47 of Rockford, for an active Ogle County warrant for Failure to Appear. Anderson was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Ogle County Jail where she was held in lieu of bond.

April 3

At approximately 5:45 p.m., Deputies responded to the 11000 block of E. Sunset Lane in rural Rochelle for the report of a domestic disturbance.  After conducting an investigation, Christina Princivalli, 44 of Rochelle, was arrested for domestic battery.  Princivalli was transported to the Ogle County Courthouse where she was held awaiting a court appearance.

At approximately 6:27 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop near the intersection of Mason St and Division Ave (Polo) on a Harley Davidson motorcycle, driven by Braden A. Eich, 32 of Dixon. The motorcycle fled from deputies northbound on Division Ave.  The motorcycle failed to negotiate the curve in the 1000 block of S. IL Rt. 26 and entered the east ditch where it crashed. Polo Fire/EMS were dispatched to the scene for non-life threatening injures. Eich was transported to KSB Hospital by Polo EMS.  After an investigation, Eich was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, and violation of the Illinois concealed carry act. Eich was also issued citations for operating an uninsured motor vehicle, failure to reduce speed to prevent an accident, speeding 35+ MPH over the limit, and driving the wrong way on a one-way street. Eich was released on a signature I-bond. The incident remains under investigation with further charges pending.

April 2

At approximately 7:37 p.m., Deputies initiated a traffic stop in the 2000 block of North Freeport Rd.  After further investigation Olivia Lange, 18 of Dubuque, Iowa, was placed under arrest for Driving While License Suspended.  Lange was transported to the Ogle County Jail where she was held in lieu of bond.  Lange was also cited for Improper U-turn.

At approximately 9:45 p.m., deputies responded to the 200 block of Powers Road in Hillcrest for the report of a physical altercation between two males. Upon conducting an investigation, Orrie Samp, 50 of Rochelle was placed under arrest and charged with battery. Samp was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.

At approximately 4:01 p.m. Deputies responded to a 911 hang up in the apartment complex in the 500 block of E. 3rd St. in Leaf River. After investigation, Deputies learned the call was made from 510 E. 3rd St., which involved a domestic dispute. Deputies then placed Anthony Apodaca, 40 of Leaf River under arrest for a Violation of an Order of Protection. Apodaca was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.  

April 1

At approximately 1:16 p.m., Ogle County Deputies, among with the Oregon Fire, EMS and the Illinois Conservation Police responded to a single vehicle rollover accident in the 2800 block of South Illinois Route 2.  After an investigation it was learned that Leo R Dempewolf, 29 of Oregon, lost control of his vehicle after swerving to miss an oncoming vehicle, in his lane. Dempewolf lost control of the vehicle at which time it overturned and came to rest in the grass. Dempewolf was issued a citation of operating a uninsured motor vehicle. Dempewolf refused all medical treatment and the vehicle was removed from the location by John T towing.  

March 30

At approximately 10:55 p.m. Deputies responded to an address in the 5000 block of East Scott Dr in reference to a domestic disturbance.  After further investigation Willie Barr, 62 of Byron, was placed under arrest for Aggravated Domestic Battery (Strangulation) and Domestic Battery.  Barr was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held without bond.

At approximately 11:30 p.m. Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to an address on Golden Prairie Drive in Davis Junction for a domestic disturbance.  Pursuant to the investigation,  Michael Dixon, 21, of Davis Junction was arrested for Domestic Battery.  Dixon was confined at the Ogle County Jail in lieu of bond.

At approximately 3:09 p.m. Deputies were dispatched to the parking lot of 4225 W. IL Rte. 64 in reference to a Domestic Battery.  Upon arrival, Deputies learned the domestic battery took place in a vehicle while the occupants were driving on IL Rte. 64. After investigation, Deputies placed Mark Rowe, 35 of Justice, IL under arrest for Domestic Battery, Possession of a Controlled Substance (heroin) under 15 grams, Reckless Conduct, and a valid Ogle County FTA Warrant.  Also arrested was Jenna Jewell, 32 of Justice, IL for Driving While License Suspended and Possession of a Controlled Substance (heroin) under 15 grams.  Both Rowe and Jewell were transported to the Ogle County Jail where they were held in lieu of bond. 

At 7:39 p.m., Ogle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 3000 block of N. Mt. Morris Rd. After further investigation, Eddie Gudino, 31 of Leaf River was placed under arrest for unlawful possession of cannabis. Gudino was also cited for operating uninsured motor vehicle and one headlight. Gudino was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.

At 3:41 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to an address in rural Oregon for a violation of order of protection. After an investigation, it was determined Aric Casey, 36 of Oregon had violated the order of protection by going to a protected address that was listed on the order. Casey was taken into custody for violation of order of protection. Casey was transported to the Ogle County jail and held without bond.

March 28

At approximately 6:24 p.m., Deputies initiated a traffic stop at the 5000 block of West Pines Road in Oregon.  Upon Further investigation Deputies arrested Thomas Davis, 61 from Polo, for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.  Thomas was transported to the the Ogle County Jail.  Davis also received citations for Improper Lane Usage and Operating a Communications Device While Driving

March 27

At approximately 11:20 p.m., Ogle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 12000 block of N Tower Road. After investigation, Deputies arrested Michael R. Molnar, 18 of Byron, for Driving While License Suspended. Michael was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond. Michael was also cited for Operating Uninsured Motor Vehicle and given in written warning for Improper Traffic Lane Usage.

March 22

Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Michael Cretsinger, 53 of Byron for driving while license suspended. Cretsinger was arrested by deputies on Rte. 72 near Stillman Valley after being stopped for speeding. Cretsinger was transported to the jail where he was held in lieu of bond.

March 21

At approximately 3:02 p.m., Deputies conducted a traffic stop at 1000 W. Pines Road.  After an investigation, Deputies arrested Brandy Veurink, 35 of Polo for Driving While License Suspended.  Brandy was transported to the Ogle County Jail where she is being held in lieu of bond.

At approximately 6:15 p.m., the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office along with Rochelle and Hillcrest EMS responded to the intersection of IL Route 251 and Hillcrest avenue for a car versus bicyclist.  After conducting an investigation it was learned Timothy Huber, 26 of Rochelle, was riding southbound on IL Route 251 approaching Hillcrest Avenue when a Honda Civic traveling northbound driven by Saul Alanis, 58 of Rochelle, turned onto Hillcrest Avenue in front of Huber causing Huber’s bicycle to strike the passenger side of Honda. Alanis was issued a citation for failure to yield when turning left. Huber was treated for minor injuries and released on scene.
