June 20
At 9:18 p.m., the Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies received a complaint from a resident in the rural Oregon area that a woman had threatened a person with a handgun and left. Ashley Paddie, 29, of Mt. Morris was located in Oregon by Oregon Police. She was taken into custody for Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, a violation of the Cannabis Control Act, Aggravated Assault, and no FOID card. She was arrested and taken to the Ogle County Jail.
The Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies arrested Buddy List, 43, of Ashton IL, for Driving While License Suspended. List was arrested by Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies on Rte. 64 after being stopped for speeding. List was transport to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.
June 19
Chelsie J. Smith, 36, of Freeport, was arrested for a Failure to Appear warrant. Smith has a bond of $696. Smith will go to court on 06/19/20 at 1 p.m. Smith remains in the Ogle County jail.
Ogle County Sheriff Deputies arrested Joseph Kielsmeier, 34, of Leaf River. Kielsmeier was arrested for Presence Within a School Zone by a Child Sex Offender Prohibited. Kielsmeier was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he is held in lieu of bond.
June 18
At 7:58 p.m., Deputies conducted a traffic stop on I-39 at mile marker 104. After a short investigation Deputies arrested Elvie A. Turnage, 49 of Milwaukee WI, for Driving While License Revoked. Turnage was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
June 17
At 2:44 p.m., Deputies conducted a traffic stop at Illinois Rte. 38 and Chana Road. After a short investigation, Deputies arrested Carlos Loyola, 22 of Rochelle, for Unlawful Possession of Cannabis. Deputies also arrested the passenger, Anthony Urrutia, age 30 of Rochelle, for a valid Ogle County arrest warrant for Failure to Appear. Both were transported to the Ogle County Jail where they were held in lieu of bond.
At 10:23 p.m., Deputies responded to the 900 block of E. Hay Road for a report of a one vehicle crash. It was determined that a Ford Fusion driven by Steven Early was traveling East on Hay Road when he swerved to miss a deer, causing him to strike a tree. Early's vehicle caught fire and was deemed a total loss. No injuries were sustained in the crash. Deputies were assisted on scene by Oregon Fire. The crash remains under investigation.
At 6:31 p.m., Deputies responded to the 17000 block of W. US 52 for a report of a one vehicle roll over crash. After an investigation it was determined that a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Nathaniel Artz, 18 of Mt. Morris, was traveling East on US 52 when he lost control and overturned in the field on the North side of the road. Artz was transported to FMH by Polo Fire. Deputies were assisted on scene by Polo Fire and Police. The crash remains under investigation.
At 4:28 p.m., Deputies responded to the 13000 block of Milledgeville Road for a one vehicle roll over accident. After an investigation, Deputies determined that a 1997 Ford Ranger driven by a Juvenile male from Polo, was traveling East on Milledgeville Road when he lost control of the Ford, causing it to roll over one time. The Juvenile was uninjured and released to his parents. The crash remains under investigation
June 16
At approximately 11:13 p.m., Deputies initiated a traffic stop in the 2000 block of W IL Rte 64. After further investigation Jonathon Mercado-Feliciano was placed under arrest for Driving While License Revoked. Mercado-Feliciano was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
June 14
At approximately 12:07 p.m. Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 3,000 Block of N. River Road in reference to a single motorcycle accident with an injury. Upon arrival, Deputies learned that a Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by Tammy Hyde, 53 of Algonquin, was traveling southbound on River Road when she began to lose control due to steering issues. Hyde then traveled off of the west side of the shoulder before overturning in the ditch. Hyde was later transported to KSB Hospital by Oregon EMS for non-life threatening injuries.
At approximately 9:07 p.m., Deputies initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of 3rd Street and Main Street in Leaf River. After further investigation Bradley Boyd, 40 of Mt. Morris was placed under arrest for Driving While License Revoked. Boyd was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
June 13
At 4:02 p.m. Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a one vehicle accident in the 2500 block of west Oregon Trail road. After a short investigation it was determined that a 2003 Ford driven by Caleb Reinke, 19, of Oregon was traveling west on Oregon Trail Road in a work zone when he struck a marked bump in the road causing him to loose control and enter the south ditch, where he struck a tree head on. A 16 year old juvenile passenger was transported to a local hospital for minor injuries. Reinke was cited for driving too fast for road conditions and will appear in court on 07/31/20 at 9 a.m. Deputies were assisted on scene by Mt. Morris, and Polo Fire Departments.
At about 9:20 p.m. Ogle County Sheriff›s Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 3000 block of South Woodlawn road, and after a short investigation Deputies arrested Miguel A Almanza-Robles, 18, of Rockford for unlawful possession of cannabis in a vehicle. Almanza-Robles was also issued citations for no rear registration light and no insurance. Almanza-Robles was released on scene and will appear in court on 07/31/20 at 9 a.m. Deputies were assisted on scene by the Illinois State Police.
At approximately 5:51 a.m., Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a one vehicle accident at the 1000 Block of South Union Road. Deputies discovered the vehicle to be unoccupied. After investigation, Deputies learned that, Jessy T. Mason, 30, of Carrolton Texas, was the driver of the vehicle. Mason was issued a citation for Driving While License Suspended and Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident. Mason was released on an I-Bond and will appear in court at a later date.
At approximately 1:03 p.m., Deputies responded to a two-vehicle head on accident with injuries in the 2,000 block of N. IL Rte. 2. Upon arrival, Deputies learned a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Dakota Miller, 18 of Milledgeville was traveling southbound in the 2,000 block of N. IL Rte. 2. Miller then traveled into the northbound lane before correcting back into his lane of travel. At the same time a 2015 Ford SUV driven by Melvin Cater, 61 of Oregon, was traveling northbound in the 2,000 block of N. IL Rte. 2 when he observed Miller’s vehicle travel into his lane. Cater attempted to swerve to avoid Miller, but they struck head on causing both vehicles to sustain heavy damage. Cater was later transported to Riverside Hospital in Rockford by Oregon EMS for minor injuries. Cater’s passenger, Julie Cater, 60 of Oregon was transported to Riverside Hospital in Rockford by React Helicopter for non-life threatening injuries. Miller was transported to St. Anthony’s Hospital in Rockford for non-life threatening injuries by Mt. Morris EMS. Miller was later issued a citation for Improper Lane Usage. The accident remains under investigation.
June 12
Rhonda S. Conderman, 55 of Monroe Center, was arrested for two outstanding Ogle County warrants for Forgery and Identity Theft. Conderman was unable to post the $10,000/10% and remains in the Ogle County Jail. Conderman will appear in court on 06/15/20 at 1 p.m.
June 9
At 1:24 p.m. the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office, Stephenson County Sheriff’s Office, German Valley Fire Department, and the German Valley Ambulance responded to a Farm Tractor vs Car accident with injuries in the 6,000 block of West Montague Road. A John Deer Farm tractor pulling a hay wagon was traveling westbound on Montague Road attempting to make a left turn into a field entrance when a Lincoln Town Car also traveling westbound attempted to pass the John Deer Tractor. The John Deer Tractor and the Lincoln Town Car collided on the south side of the road. The driver of the Lincoln Town Car Gerald R. Diedrich, 83 of Pecatonica, was transported to Freeport Memorial Hospital by the German Valley ambulance with a head injury. The driver of the John Deer Tractor Benjamin J. Miller, 34 of German Valley, was uninjured in the accident. The accident remains under investigation.
Deputies investigated a Battery which had occurred in Haldane on 06/07/20. After further investigation David Williams, 50 of Polo, was placed under arrest for Battery. Williams was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he posted bond and was released with a future court date.
June 8
At 7:18 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the Meridian Manor Trailer Park for the report of a disturbance. After an investigation, Jessica A. Hill, 18 of Stillman Valley, was arrested for Battery and Disorderly Conduct. Hill was transported to the Ogle County Jail where she was held in lieu of bond.
June 6
Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a traffic stop at Freeport Rd and Robin Rd where the arrested Teodoro Jimenez-Viveros, 21, for Driving While License Suspended. Jimenez-Viveros was also cited for have no front registratin plate. Jimenez-Viveros was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
June 5
At approximately 9:50 am Ogle County Deputies, with the assistance of the Oregon Police Department, conducted a traffic stop in the 6000 block of East Illinois Route 64. During the traffic stop the driver of the vehicle, Kenneth A Henry, 32 of Peoria, fled on foot. After a short foot chase, Henry was taken into custody. Henry was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving on a suspended license, no valid drivers license, resisting arrest, illegal transportation of alcohol, failure to signal, improper lane usage, failure to wear seatbelt and operation a vehicle with no insurance. Henry also had an outstanding warrant. Henry was transported to the Ogle County jail where he is being held in lieu of bond.
