Ogle County Sheriff Deputies arrested Luis Perez, 18, of Rockford for Driving Without a Valid License. Perez was arrested by Ogle County Sheriff Deputies on I-39 after being stopped for speeding. Perez was released on an I-Bond.

At 6:38 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff Deputies conducted a traffic stop at IL Rte 26 and Montague Rd. Following a short investigation, Ogle County Sheriff Deputies arrested Norman Kilker, 63, of Forreston for Driving Without a Valid Driver's License. Kilker was released on scene and will appear in court on 08-21-2020 at 9:00 a.m.

Samuel I. Olsen, 36, of Amboy was arrested for Failure to Appear arrest warrant/ Olsen has a bond of $2,500 and will go to court on 07/17/2020 at 1 p.m. Olsen remains in the Ogle County jail.

July 16

At approximately 8:24 a.m. Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 5800 block of W. Montague Road. After investigation, Deputies placed Edwin Pesantes, 34 of Chicago under arrest for Driving While License Revoked, Obstructing Identification, and a FTA Chicago PD warrant for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Pesantes was additionally issued a citations for Speeding and Operating an Uninsured Vehicle. Pesantes was transferred to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond. 

At 4:21 p.m. Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies conducted a traffic stop at 1200 W Blackhawk in Byron. After a short investigation Deputies arrested Jamar Baker for Driving While License Revoked. Baker was transported to the Ogle County Jail. 

July 15

The Ogle County Sheriff Deputies arrested Vanessa Gomez, 26, of Rochelle for Theft and Driving While License Suspended. Gomez was held in lieu of bond at the Ogle County Jail.

July 14

At approximately 2:22 a.m., Ogle County Sheriff Deputies responded to a single vehicle accident at the 2300 block of West IL Rte 72. The single occupant was transported by Byron EMS to Swedish American Hospital with minor injuries and the vehicle was towed from the scene of the accident.

July 13

At approximately 1:26 a.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to the area of Rte. 251 and Rte. 72 for a check welfare on a subject laying on the side of the road. After a brief investigation, it was determined that Paul Garner, 33 of Rochelle, was driving southbound in the 8000 block of North Illinois Rte. 251 when he ran out of gas. Garner was arrested for Driving While Under the Influence of Alcohol and transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.

Daniel Oneill, 40, of Pecatonica was arrested on a Petition to Revoke-Driving while Under the Influence arrest warrant. Oneill has a bond of $10,000/10%. Oneill will go to court on 07/14/20 at 1 p.m. Oneill remains in Ogle County Jail.

July 12

At approximately 9:53 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 19000 block of East Illinois Rte. 64 for an Equipment Violation. After a brief investigation Deputies arrested Brenda Ngassa, 19 of North Aurora, for No Valid Driver's License. Ngassa was given an Individual bond and released from the scene with a future court date.

At approximately 5:30 p.m., Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of Lovers Lane in Oregon. After investigation, Deputies arrested Jason Marcoux, 39, of Dixon, for Driving While License Suspended. Marcoux was also issued a citation for a moving violation. Marcoux was released on an I-Bond on scene wi9th a return court date later next month.

At approximately 12:50 p.m. Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a two -vehicle accident with injuries in the 3,000 block of S. IL Rte 2.Upon arrival, Deputies learned a White Dodge Ram pulling a trailer driven by Troy Mowry, 43 of Chana, was traveling southbound in the 3,000 block of S. IL Rte. 2. The Dodge pickup then entered into the turn lane to turn left into the Castle Rock State Park Boat Ramp parking lot. A Harley Davidson Motorcycle driven by Mark Lampert, 64 of Batavia was traveling northbound on IL Rte. 2 approaching the Dodge pickup. The Dodge pickup then began to turn into the northbound lane before striking the motorcycle head on. Lampert and his passenger, Candace Benton, 44 of Batavia were thrown from the motorcycle in the east ditch. Lampert was later transported by React Helicopter to Javon Bea Hospital in Riverside for serious injuries. Benton was also transported to Mercy Health in Rockton for non-life threatening injuries. Mowry was issued a citation for an Improper Left Turn/On Coming Traffic. Oregon EMS, Oregon fire, Oregon PD, and Mt. Morris EMS assisted at the accident. The accident remains under investigation.   

July 10

Daniel Morales, 48 of Dekalb, was arrested on an outstanding Ogle County warrant for Possession of Any Amount of a Schedule I & II Narcotic. Morales was unable to post the $50,000/10% bond and remains in the Ogle County Jail. Morales will go to court 07/13/20 at 1 p.m.

At approximately 11:43 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies initiated a traffic stop in the 1300 block of West Sterling Road. After further investigation Deputies arrested Jerred Allison of Freeport for Driving While License Suspended. Allison was given an Individual Bond and released from the scene with a future court date.

July 7

At approximately 10:57 a.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies attempted to perform a traffic stop on 2005 Gray Chevy Tahoe at the intersection of Barker Road and Mill Road. The vehicle then attempted to flee from Deputies and a pursuit followed.  As the vehicle continued northbound on Barker Road and then eastbound onto Woodburn Road, stop sticks were deployed. The vehicle attempted to avoid the stop sticks by traveling off of the northside of the roadway before crashing with minimal damage in the 4,000 block of E. Woodburn Road. After investigation, Deputies placed Marc Clarke, 32 of Rockford under arrest for 2 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Aggravated Fleeing to Elude, Driving While License Suspended, and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.  Clarke was additionally issued citations for Speeding, Improper Lane Usage, and Reckless Driving.  Clarke was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held pending an appearance in front of a Judge.   

At approximately 5:59 p.m., Deputies responded to the 100 block of Main Street in Leaf River in reference to Battery. Upon further investigation Pamela Ignacio, 57 of Leaf River, was placed under arrest for Battery. Ignacio was transported to the Ogle County Jail where she was held in lieu of bond.

July 6

At approximately 5:41 p.m., Deputies initiated a traffic stop in the 1000 block of South Freeport Rd. After further investigation Vincent Giuffre, 18 of Freeport, was placed under arrest for Driving While License Suspended and Unlawful Possession of Cannabis. Giuffre was given an Individual Bond and released from the scene with a future court date.

July 5

At 2:10 p.m., Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a blue Dodge ram truck that was observed driving outside of its traffic lane. After further investigation the driver of the vehicle Christopher Kingrey, 46, of Rockford, was placed under arrest for Driving While License Suspended. Kingrey was also issued a citation for Improper Lane Usage and released on an I-Bond.

July 4

At 3:10 p.m. Deputies conducted a traffic stop on I-39 at mile marker 109 on a 2018 white GMC Sierra observed traveling 91 mph in a 70 mph zone. After conducting an investigation Eberardo Peralta-Cazales, 28, of Alabama, was arrested for No Valid Driver's License. Peralta-Cazales was also issued a citation for speeding and released on an I-Bond.

The Ogle County Sheriff Deputies arrested Julio Flores, 26, of Arlington Heights for Disorderly Conduct. Flores was arrested by Ogle County Sheriff Deputies on Daysville Rd after creating a disturbance. Flores was help in lieu of bond at the Ogle County Jail.

July 1

At approximately 6:13 a.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a motorcycle accident with an injury. Upon arrival, Deputies learned a 2015 Yamaha motorcycle was driven by Devin Messenger, 21 of Oregon. Messenger was southbound on River Road when he locked his brakes up in the roadway to avoid deer. Messenger then laid the motorcycle down in the roadway before coming to rest. Messenger was transported to Swedish American Hospital by Byron EMS for non-life threatening injuries.
