Aug. 20
Jarrod Martin, 31, of Rochelle was arrested for Failure to Appear. Martin had a bond of $3,000, and Martin did post his bond. Martin was released from the Ogle County Jail. Martin will retrun for court on 09/13/19 at 9 a.m.
At 7:05 a.m., Deputies were dispatched 120 Azalea Ave. in reference to a domestic call. After an investigation, Deputies arrested Taylor Hilgen, 25 of Davis Junction for domestic battery. Hilgen was transported to the Ogle County Jail where she is being held in lieu of bond.
Aug. 18
At approximately 9:25 p.m., Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 2000 block of West IL Rte 64. After a short investigation, Deputies arrested Matthew R. Krause, 28 of Chicago, for Unlawful Possession of Cannabis 10-30 Grams. Krause was was issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Krause was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
Aug. 17
At 12:50 a.m., following a traffic stop at Illinois Rte 64 and Limekiln road deputies arrested Alvin L Griffey, 63 of Byron, for DUI. Griffey was transported to the ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.
Aug. 15
At 7:24 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 7000 block of North IL Rte 251 for an Equipment Violation. After a short investigation Trendall Lewis, 37 of Rochelle, was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance. Lewis was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
Mariko Ubale, 26 of Chicago, was arrested on an outstanding Ogle County warrant for Driving 26-34 Miles Per Hour Over the Limit. Ubale posted the $5,000/10 percent bond and was released from the Ogle County Jail with a return court date of 09/06/19 at 9 a.m.
Aug. 14
At approximately 10:39 p.m., Deputies initiated a traffic stop in the 16000 block of West Illinois Rte 72. After further investigation Montana Ils, 22 of Freeport, was placed under arrest for Driving While License Suspended. Ils was transported to the Ogle County Jail where she was held in lieu of bond.
Aug. 11
At 5:03 p.m., Deputies responded to the area of Illinois Rte 251 and Linda Ave. for a subject laying in the ditch. After a short investigation Deputies arrested Ruth David, 31 of Aurora, for Battery; Jason Nykaza, 35 of Oglesby, for DUI; and Lawrence Wood, 40 of Marengo, for Obstruction of a Police Officer. All were transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond. Deputies were assisted on scene by Hillcrest and Rochelle Fire Departments.
Aug. 10
At 10:13 p.m., following a traffic stop on I88 at mile marker 76, Deputies arrested Takita L. Spearman-Whitfield, 32 of Rockford, for Driving While License Suspended. Spearman-Whitfield was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond. Deputies were assisted on scene by Rochelle Police.
Aug. 9
At 10:47 p.m., following a traffic stop on I-88 at mile marker 75, Deputies arrested Jose Ruiz, 43 of Zion, for Driving While License Suspended. Ruiz was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond. Deputies were assisted on scene by Rochelle Police.
At 10:28 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies conducted a traffic stop on I-88 at mile marker 77 westbound for an equipment violation. After an investigation Amanda Ramsey, 36 of Rochelle, was arrested for Driving While License Suspended. Ramsey was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.
At approximately 4:47 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies performed a traffic stop at the intersection of IL Rte. 64 and Evergreen Road. After investigation, Deputies placed James Emery, 36 of Leaf River under arrest for Driving While License Suspended. Emery was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
Aug. 8
At 11:15 a.m., Ogle County Detectives arrested Grant E. McDonald, 34 of Byron, and Leanna C. Myers, 30 of Byron. McDonald was charged with Theft Over $500, a class 4 Felony and Myers was charged with Theft Under $500, a class A Misdemeanor. The arrests stem from a joint investigation with the Byron Police Department into items that were stolen from residences in Byron and rural Monroe Center. Both McDonald and Myers were transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.
Duane D. Upchurch, 54 of Byron, was arrested on an Ogle County arrest warrant for four counts of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a Child, class X Felonies and two counts of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse, class 2 Felonies. The arrests stem from an investigation the Ogle County Sheriff's Office began in March of 2019 in which Upchurch is alleged to have sexual contact with two female minors. Upchurch's bond was set at $500,000, 10 percent applies.
Aug. 7
The Ogle County Sheriff's Office arrested Kevin Jones, 39 of Stillman Valley for Driving While License Suspended. Jones was arrested by Deputies on Rte 72 near Armour Rd after being stopped for speeding. Jones was held in lieu of bond at the Jail.
