Oregon Police report 1-6-20

Dec. 24

At 2:31p.m., Oregon Police responded to a disturbance call in the 300 block of N. 4^th Street resulting in the arrest of Andrew N. Bjorkman, 33, Oregon for disorderly conduct. Bjorkman was also issued a state citation for being an intoxicated pedestrian in the roadway and a city citation for the ordinance violation of unlawful consumption in a public place. Bjorkman was transported to the Ogle County jail.

Dec. 26

At 11:58 p.m., Oregon Police arrested Richard L. Gallagher, 35, Oregon, for driving while license suspended. Gallagher was also issued citations for loud, excessive noise – no muffler, and illegal transportation of alcohol as a driver. Gallagher was transported to the Ogle County jail. These violations occurred in the 100 block of N. 2^nd Street.

Dec. 27

At 4:58 p.m., Oregon Police issued Christopher J. Sproule, 38, Byron, a citation for speeding, 42mph in a 30mph zone. This violation occurred in the 600 block of N. 4^th Street.

At 6:26 p.m., Oregon Police issued Travis L. F. Celestino, 32, Rock Falls, a citation for speeding, 44mph in a 30mph zone. This violation occurred in the 600 block of N. 4^th Street.

At 8:38 p.m., Oregon Police issued Robert A. Geiken, 22, Leaf River, a citation for operating an uninsured motor vehicle. This violation occurred in the 300 block of S. 3^rd Street.

Dec. 28

At 7:13 p.m., Oregon Police investigated a car vs pedestrian traffic crash at the intersection of 4^th and Washington Streets involving a 2019 Jeep driven by Mary E. McKnight, 47, Byron, that struck pedestrian, Rodney T. Pitt, 69, Oregon. Pitt was transported by Oregon EMS to KSB Hospital in Dixon. McKnight was issued a citation for failure to yield to a pedestrian in crosswalk.

1 parking citations and 6 verbal/written warnings were issued from 12/23/19 through 12/29/19.
