At 4:53 a.m., Oregon Police issued Beau J. Miller, 29, Stillman Valley, a citation for speeding, 44 mph in a 30 mph zone. This violation occurred in the 600 block of N. 4th Street.
At 12:49 p.m., Oregon Police responded to a two-vehicle traffic crash in the 100 block of N. 4th Street where a 2000 Mercury was driven by Ronald S. McNett, 79, Mt. Morris, was leaving a parking spot and struck a 2017 Jeep driven by Zachary T. Guz, 22, Mt. Morris. No citations were issued.
At 9:54 p.m., Oregon Police issued Christian L. Martinez, 25, of Kenosha, Wis., a citation for speeding, 49 mph in a 30 mph zone. This violation occurred in the 600 block of N. 4th Street.
July 22
At 6:41 p.m., Oregon Police arrested Shayne M. Smith, 20, Byron, for driving while license suspended. Smith was also issued a citation for operating a vehicle with an expired registration. Smith was transported to the Ogle County jail. These violations occurred near the S. 4th and Gale Street intersection.
July 24
At 4:48 a.m., Oregon Police arrested Ismael Arencibia, 54, Rockford, for no driver’s license. Arencibia was transported to the Ogle County jail. This violation occurred in the 600 block of N. 4th Street.
At 7:18 p.m., Oregon Police issued Michael T. Taylor, 53, Leaf River, a citation for failure to wear a seat belt as a driver. This violation occurred in the 300 block of W. Washington Street.
July 25
At 6:29 a.m., Oregon Police responded to a disturbance call at the 320 Lover’s Lane apartment building resulting in the arrest of Richard L. Gallagher, 37, Oregon, for disorderly conduct. Gallagher was transported to the Ogle County jail.

July 27
At 3:20 p.m., Oregon Police responded to a disturbance at 103 Jones Terrace resulting in the arrest of Thomas A. Bradshaw, 28, Oregon, for domestic battery. Bradshaw was transported to the Ogle County jail.
At 10:30 p.m., Oregon Police issued Payton G. Evenson, 16, Rock Falls, a citation for no valid driver’s license – graduated driver’s license (GDL) not valid after 10 p.m. A passenger in Evenson’s vehicle, Joseph C. Rivera, 41, Rock Falls, was arrested on an outstanding Lee County warrant for failure to appear; on an outstanding Whiteside County warrant for felony criminal damage; for possession of a controlled substance, obstructing and resisting a peace officer, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Rivera was transported to the Ogle County jail. Evenson was released into a guardian’s custody. These violations occurred in the 100 block of S. 4th Street.
July 28
At 11:42 p.m., Oregon Police investigated a two-vehicle traffic crash in the parking lot of the Subway restaurant, located at 511 W. Washington Street, involving a 2005 Dodge driven by Catherine Sobecki, 56, Oregon, that struck a parked 2017 Honda owned by Clifford A. Freeman, 74, Byron. No citations were issued.
July 29
At 6:27 p.m., Oregon Police issued Timothy A. Cline, 35, Mt. Morris, a citation for disregarding a stop sign. This violation occurred at the intersection of 500 W. Washington and N. 6th Street.
