FRANKLIN GROVE – The many fans of the special Fifth Friday Music Shows at the historic H.I. Lincoln Building in Franklin Grove are in for a special treat on Friday, March 30.

A special configuration of returning stars in a new combination – the Uptown Rhythm Kings.

Featuring harmonica virtuoso Ted Lawrence and his longtime partner Chuck Scordato on guitar and vocals, talented Mark Stohr on bass, and veteran percussionist (dating back to the days of the Saltines), Joe Pasteris, the evening is guaranteed to bring back memories of some of America’s most unique musical art forms.

For 40 years these skilled musicians have performed their wonderful mix of swing, boogie, R&B, and old time rock & roll for audiences throughout Northern Illinois.

There will be one seating for the Uptown Rhythm Kings at 7 p.m. and a sellout is a distinct possibility. Donation is just $10. Advance reservations can be made at the H.I. Lincoln Building (130 N. Elm St. in Franklin Grove) 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. daily, or call 815-456-3030 during those same hours.

This is a not to be missed performance by four of Illinois’ best musicians, so plan ahead for March 30.
