OREGON – The Oregon Park District is offering several cooking classes this summer for ages preschool-9 years old.

Cooking with Kids – Batter Up! Is for ages 4-entering kindergarten. Class will meet on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9-11 a.m. Kids will enjoy mixing up their “batter” and other ingredients to make delicious “sporty” snacks such as Home Run Hot Dogs, Dribblin’ Dippers and Touchdown Tacos! All chefs will bring home a cookbook with all the favorite recipes. Registration fee is $25/Residents and $30/Non-Residents. Registration deadline is Monday, June 11. Class is taught by Nancy Kerwin.

Culinary Kids with Ms. Teresa is a one-day class for ages 6-9.

Let your little gourmet join Ms. Teresa for a fun culinary experience each month. The class is designed to introduce each participant to the basics of the kitchen in a creative environment.  Delicious creations will be created in class and brought home.  Recipes will change each month, but will always include a main dish, side and dessert. Cost includes one meal large enough to feed a family of 4. Two children can work on the same meal for the family.  All you need to do is preheat the oven, sit back and relax. Recipes will be shared at the end of each class. Cost is $25/Resident and $30/Non-Resident.

Classes will be held on:

June 21 from 3-4:30 p.m. Registration deadline is June 15. Main dish will be Chicken Kabobs.
