Track & Field: Rochelle hosts 50th Annual Ogle County Invitational

Athletes from Byron, Oregon, Stillman Valley, Polo and Forreston compete Tuesday evening

ROCHELLE — Rochelle Township High School held the 50th Annual Ogle County Invitational on Tuesday, with athletes from Oregon, Byron, Stillman Valley, Polo and Forreston all in attendance. Below are all of the notable results from the Ogle County schools in Tuesday’s meet.

Forreston-Polo Boys

The Forreston-Polo boys finished first with 119.33 points overall. Noah Dewey took first in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.03 seconds and second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.74 seconds. Micah Nelson finished second in the 400-meter dash with a time of 52.32 seconds and Hayden Vinnedge finished third in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:17.75. 

Esteban Salinas took third in the 1600-meter run with a time of 5:27.23 and Noah Genandt took third in the 3200-meter run with a time of 12:30.91. Lucas Nelson finished first in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 16.65 seconds and Eli Ferris finished second in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 44.38 seconds. Nelson finished third with a time of 45.08 seconds.

Forreston-Polo won three relays including the 400-meter relay with a time of 44.38 seconds, the 800-meter relay with a time of 1:33.33 and the 1600-meter relay with a time of 3:33.40. Hunter DeWall took second in the discus with a throw of 36.54 meters and Eli Ferris took second in the high jump with a height of 1.70 meters. Billy Lowry finished first in the long jump with a mark of 5.74 meters and Peyton Crase finished second in the triple jump with a mark of 12.48 meters.

Forreston-Polo Girls

The Forreston-Polo girls finished first with 102 points overall. Bree Schneiderman won both the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.44 seconds and the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.18 seconds. Kyla Lamm took third in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:51.51 and Courtney Grobe took fourth in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 19.10 seconds. Letrese Buisker won the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 52.64 seconds and Laynie Mandrell was second in 52.85.

Forreston-Polo finished first in the 400-meter relay with a time of 52.20 seconds before taking third in the 800-meter relay with a time of 1:56.03. Forreston-Polo took fourth in the 1600-meter relay with a time of 4:49.31 after taking third in the 3200-meter relay with a time of 11:39.66.

Sydni Badertscher won both the shot put with a mark of 10.19 meters and the discus with a mark of 33.25 meters. Letrese Buisker took third in the high jump with a height of 1.50 meters and Bree Schneiderman took second in the long jump with a mark of 4.37 meters.

Byron Boys

The Byron boys finished third with 47.33 points overall. Dylan Springer won the 400-meter dash with a time of 52.23 seconds and Micah Hilliker finished fourth in the 1600-meter run with a time of 5:31.48. Liam Connell took fourth in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 17.32 seconds.

Byron finished second in the 3200-meter relay with a time of 9:12.65 and fourth in both the 1600-meter relay with a time of 3:46.75 and the 800-meter relay with a time of 1:38.56. Carson Buser won the high jump with a height of 1.75 meters and Carson Conderman took third in the pole vault with a height of 3.27 meters. Maison Brandt was fourth in the triple jump with a mark of 12.21 meters and Maverick Galster finished fifth in the discus with a mark of 33.68 meters.

Byron Girls

The Byron girls finished fourth with 58 points overall. Ashley Potter took first in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:02.01 and Emma Franchi took third in the 1600-meter run with a time of 6:17.51. Gabriella Northup finished second in the 3200-meter run with a time of 15:09.14 and Malia Morton finished first in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 16.88 seconds.

Byron won both the 800-meter relay with a time of 1:51.72 and the 1600-meter relay with a time of 4:15.89. Byron finished second in the 3200-meter relay with a time of 11:30.22 and Neve Schilling took third in the high jump with a height of 1.50 meters. 

Stillman Valley Boys

The Stillman Valley boys finished fourth with 46.33 points overall. Memphis Rowe took fourth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.12 seconds and Evan Jones took third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 53.38 seconds. Braden Rogers won the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 42.70 and Jacob Rhodes finished second in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 16.69.

Stillman Valley took second in both the 800-meter relay with a time of 1:33.96 and the 1600-meter relay with a time of 3:36.20. Stillman Valley finished third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 45.45 seconds and fourth in the 3200-meter relay with a time of 9:43.45. Jacob Rhodes took second in the high jump with a clearance of 1.70 meters and Memphis Rowe took fifth in the long jump with a distance of 5.22 meters. 

Stillman Valley Girls

The Stillman Valley girls finished fifth with 51 points overall. Makinzie Lamb took third in the 100-meter dash with a time of 14.36 seconds and Nola Ivy-Friberg took fourth in the 1600-meter run with a time of 6:26.28. Dionyesia Cantu-Ramos finished second in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 17.07 seconds and Alyvia Bagg was fourth in shot put with a mark of 8.63 meters.

Stillman Valley finished second in both the 1600-meter relay with a time of 4:26.55 and the 800-meter relay with a time of 1:53.79. Stillman Valley took fourth in both the 3200-meter relay with a time of 12:17.64 and the 400-meter relay with a time of 54.95 seconds. 

Saundra Brodersen won the long jump with a distance of 4.59 meters and Jessie Hagemann finished second in the triple jump with a distance of 9.19 meters. Hagemann took sixth in the high jump at 1.35 meters and Ella Pollock took fourth in the discus with a mark of 27.24 meters.

Oregon Boys

The Oregon boys finished fifth with 42 points overall. Aidan Guida took first in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.69 seconds, third in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.08 seconds and fourth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 55.28 seconds. Daniel Gonzalez won the 800-meter run with a time of 2:05.18 and Chase Buchanan finished fourth in the 3200-meter run with a time of 12:30.97. Oregon’s 3200-meter relay team took third with a time of 9:34.44.

Evyn Carreno finished second in the shot put with a mark of 13.71 meters and fourth in the discus with a mark of 34.83 meters. Leo Cardenas took second in the pole vault with a clearance of 4.03 meters and Xander Garcia was eighth in the high jump at 1.55 meters.

Oregon Girls

The Oregon girls finished third with 62 points overall. Rylie Robertson took third in both the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 17.68 seconds and the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 56.62 seconds. Lorelai Dannhorn finished second in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:48.37 and Skylar Bishop finished second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 28.95 seconds.

Lexi Ebert took fifth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 14.51 seconds. Oregon finished fourth in the 800-meter relay with a time of 1:56.11 and fifth in the 1600-meter relay with a time of 5:09.25. Alease McLain finished fifth in the discus with a distance of 26.45 meters.

Grace Tremble won the high jump with a height of 1.55 meters and Sonya Plescia won the pole vault with a clearance of 2.97 meters. Daleanah Koertner took fourth in the long jump with a distance of 4.29 meters.
