With the ancient stone walls still ringing from a wildly successful Fifth Friday in January Franklin Grove’s historic H. I. Lincoln Building is preparing to revitalize its monthly Third Fridays Open Mic shows.
Although the building is in the midst of major renovation newly appointed Musical Director Bill Richards has arranged for special one night re-openings on Feb. 21 and March 20 (first day of Spring!) to maintain the Third Friday tradition.
The music is varied and includes country, bluegrass, blues, soft rock, folk, and mixes of all genres. Musician s from throughout Northern Illinois have been enthusiastic in their support. A drawing for musician’s time slots will be held at 6:30 p.m. and the show will be launched at 7 p.m. Each musician/musical group will be featured for 15 minutes.
Admission is by free will donation and refreshments will be available.
