Pop up fun hits Oregon

Posted

OREGON – The Oregon Park District has been offering a variety of free programs this summer with the support of E.D. Etnyre & Co., the presenting sponsors for these activities.

Last weekend families came to the Pop Up & Play at Oregon Park East for some fishing fun.

Jarrod Glendenning from the Oregon High School Fishing Team was on hand to help kids with their tackle or give them fishing tips. Cameron Folk who also fishes locally was eager to share his knowledge and help the little ones.

Everyone enjoyed the event and several fish were caught.  The thrill for several of the kids was watching a gentleman reel in a giant catfish. It was a great morning to learn about fishing and enjoy the beautiful Rock River and the great view at Park East.

Watch for more fun Art in the Park days and Pop Up & Play days offered by the Oregon Park District.
