On Saturday, March 25, 468 people enjoyed the 5th annual What’s Cookin’ event at Barnacopia in Polo.
That number was down slightly from last year, but the strong winds and threat of snow still didn’t dampen the enjoyment for those in attendance. The annual fundraiser for Rock River Center drew raves from the people who attended. Many said the food was the best they have had at the event.
This was also the first year that celebrity judges named the winners for the categories, except People’s Choice, of course. The judges were Judges, Marilyn Csernus, Dan Ritter and Chip Messiner. What’s Cookin’ brings a mix of age groups together, which the goal so the general public can learn what the Rock River Center does.
