Alvina Rose Stickels

Alvina Rose Stickels, 93, of Rockford, passed away Monday, Nov. 9, 2020. She was born Nov. 18, 1926, in DeKalb, to Walter and Mary (Miller) McAdams.

Alvina married Colin Stickels in 1952 and they were married until Colin passed away in 1999. She spent over 26 years working at Sears as an Installation Scheduler. Alvina also volunteered many hours at OSF St. Anthony Hospital. She loved to crochet, knit, cross stitch, and enjoyed reading a good book. Alvina was a long-time resident of Stillman Valley and member of Davis Junction United Methodist Church. She was also a member of Our Masters United Methodist Church in Rockford. She will be missed greatly by her family.

Alvina is survived by her son, Bob (Barb Colborn) Maness of Rockford; daughter, Sheri (Brad) Pearson of Stillman Valley; her 14 grandchildren; her 35 great grandchildren; her 5 great-great grandchildren; and her 100 year old sister, Adaline Beck.

Preceded in death by her husband, Colin; her daughter, Donna Rudzinsky; daughter-in-law, Karen Maness; her parents; brothers, Bill McAdams and Mick McAdams; and great-grandson, Kevin Thompson Jr.
