STILLMAN VALLEY – Betty B. Pearce, 85, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2020 at her home in Stillman Valley, Illinois. Betty was born on Sept. 22, 1935 to Earl and Ruth (Drumheller) Paul in Chana. On Feb. 7, 1953, she married Kenneth L. Pearce in Rochelle.  He preceded her in death on Octo. 29, 1988. She worked for Barber-Colman in Rockford, for 33 years.

In her younger years, Betty was an avid bowler and part of a bowling league for many years. When her girls were young, she enjoyed many Girl Scout trips. Spending time with family, friends and especially her grandchildren were some of her most treasured times. As many will remember, her favorite go to drink was Pabst Blue Ribbon beer. Preceded in death by her parents and all nine of her siblings.

Betty is survived by her three children: Carol (Mike) O’Keefe of Rockford, Brian (Sheri) Pearce of Stillman Valley, and Karen (Doug) Vallem of Rockford; seven grandchildren: Trisha (Cory) O’Keefe, Tim (Jackie) O’Keefe, Talene (Keith) Pearce, Brandon Simmons, Trent Simmons, Todd (Megan) Vallem and Trevor (Julie) O’Keefe; numerous great grandchildren and special friend, Jean Van Vleet.

There was a private family funeral service at 1 p.m., Monday, Dec. 14, 2020 with Pastor Brandon Simmons officiating. The service was live streamed on the Unger-Horner Funeral Home Facebook page.
