BYRON –Edward G. Putnal Jr., age 91, passed away at Generations at Neighbors on March 14, 2020. He was born on May 13, 1928 in Atlanta, Ga., the son of Edward and Pearl (E’Dalgo) Putnal.
Edward married Edith Dunn on March 6, 1959 in Reading, Pa.. Edward is a U.S. Army veteran who served our country during the Korean War. Edward worked as an accountant and also served as the Vice President for Bloomfield Industries in Chicago. He was a loving husband and family man who cherished his time spent with them. He enjoyed morning chats with his friends at McDonald’s and was blessed with great neighbors who he was close too.
He is preceded in death by his parents and wife.
Edward is survived by his son, Glenn (Michelle) Putnal of Naperville; brother, Richard (Irene) Putnal of Springfield, Va.; and grandchildren, Mackenzie, Glenn IV, Cooper, and Mallory.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday March 17, 2020 at Cornerstone Family Church in Byron with Pastor Randy Snider officiating. A private burial will be held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Memorials are established for the American Diabetes Association.
