Gardening workshop set for Dixon

Ready Set Grow Gardening Workshop Hosted By Carroll, Lee, Ogle and Whiteside counties Master Gardeners will be held on Saturday, March 21 from 8 a.m.-2:15 p.m. at Sauk Valley Community College in Dixon.

 This event is open to anyone who is interested in or enjoys gardening. We offer a keynote speaker; Richard Hentschel, Apples, Getting to the Core of Things. Twelve breakout sessions over a wide variety of topics including hardy perennial vegetable crops For the Midwest, asparagus, rhubarb, horseradish, the cook’s garden, fun with fermentation, “are my trees and plants in trouble?” new invaders update, make and take succulent wreath, and many more; multiple vendors with unique items for purchase; a master gardener Q & A Desk; and continental breakfast and buffet lunch!
